This apartment is romantic, clean, tastefully and artfully decorated, spacious, good value for money, and has a glorious (email hidden)sa came early in the AM because of our departure schedule and arranged a taxi for us.Francesca answered our e-mails promptly.
Perfetto, come nella descrizione: centrale e comodissimo.
The location is fabulous, right in the heart of the Oltrarno. Great bars, wonderful shops and a stones throw away from the Boboli Gardens in which you can escape and relax with a book, whilst soaking up the views over Florence or the Tuscan Hills. The apartment ticks all the boxes for a city break and having the terrace is a real treat. We will return here for sure to continue to explore Firenze!
Great apartment full of art and Florence character. In a great neighborhood with the Santo Spirito Square Market full of great locally made food and great restaurants. Walking distance to the mjority of sights: Pitta Palace, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio and Ponte Vecchio.Easy Connect with Host, thank you Rosa. We really enjoyed the apartment and the local neighborhood feel.
I have slightly mixed feelings about this property. It is basically a nice flat in a very interesting area, but if you're staying for longer than a few days or are a light sleeper, you may find the noise of neighbours quite annoying. It's impossible, of course, for the owner to do anything about this, but the arrangement of the flat is such that noise from below is very audible in the main bedroom and makes it very difficult to get a decent night's sleep there. This is not to put people off, but just to make others aware that it could be an issue. On the plus side, Rosa is helpful and responds to texts and calls very promptly (she waited up for me until after midnight when my plane was delayed) and Oltrano really is a great area. Francesca didn't reply to any of my message, which I think is poor practice, but I guess it didn't make much difference to the experience I had in Florence. In sum, worth it for a few nights or for night owls, but be careful if staying longer or looking for something peaceful
Francesa's flat was great!
Better than expected, cozy and charming and in a great neighborhood. We had a wonderful time, and I was able to have breakfast with my new wife on the terrace under the tuscan sun- porcini omelette with proscuito, crostini and tomatoes.. The secret ingredient?
Francesca's flat in the Oltrarno area of Florence was perfect as a base to explore the city and its surroundings. The flat is a fifteen-minute walk from Florence's main train station and a five-minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio which leads you straight into the historic centre. The flat is also very close to the Palazzo Pitti, the Boboli Gardens and the La Specola Museum which we enjoyed a lot!
The area around Santo Spirito is not very touristy and the nearby restaurants are excellent and cheap (for example Gusta Pizza, Trattoria La Casalinga and Osteria Santo Spirito to name just a few).
We arrived around 8pm which wasn't a problem at all. We were shown in by Rosa who gave us a quick tour of the flat, which was very clean.
The flat has everything you need and is decorated very nicely by Francesca. It is cool during Summer, which is great when returning from a hot day walking around. We stayed there as a couple and the two separate bathrooms enabled us to get ready really quickly in the morning. The large balcony was amazing and we used it a few times for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening.
I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you prefer to stay in a quieter area of town but still within walking distance of the main sites.
Francesca's flat is wonderful. Tasteful, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Great location, close walking distance to the sites but not in a madly busy area.
No traffic noise but some noise from neighbours as noise carries because of the way the apartment block has been built. But this didn't bother us on the whole.
I would recommend this flat to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Florence in lovely surroundings.
Thanks to Francesca and Rosa.
This is a really authentic and lovely apartment in a very cool area of Florence. It is situated away from most of the touristy areas but full of local life and still only a 10-15 minute walk away from all of the main attractions and 20 minutes from the train station. We loved getting a taste of life as a local resident for 3 days and Francesca's really helpful area guide gave us lots of recommendations for places to go. The apartment is comfortable and well equiped with rustic charm and lots of personal touches. We would definitely recommend it!
The place was lovely and very easy to get to all the best museums.
