Born and raised in the Appalachian mountains of Tennessee. Graduated from The George Washington University in 2009 with a degree in International Affairs and Anthropology. Currently working on my MA in Counseling from East Tennessee State University. I have lived all over Tennessee, D.C., and Lafayette, LA. I plan on spending the summer in Atlanta, GA for an internship in mental health public policy. My primary hobby is reading (short stories and non-fiction essays because that's all I have time for) but I also enjoy watching movies with friends and then having lively discussion (i.e. full-on rows) about the "deeper meaning". My favorite national holiday is Shark Week.
