I'm 31 and live in San Diego, California. Although I was born in Canada (dual citizen), I have definitely turned into a Southern California girl since moving to the US. I absolutely LOVE to travel and have been dying to visit Australia for years (it's been on the top of my list for as long as I can remember). I also have a love for adventure! So any time I can pair my global travels with something adventurous, I am all over it. Over the last three years I have hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, rode Elephants and dove with whale sharks in Thailand, went cage diving with Great White Sharks off Isle Guadalupe, dove 140ft into the Blue Hole in Belize, went zipiling in the jungle, drank too much wine and ate too much pasta in Umbria (not so adventurous but still an amazing trip), and drove 175mph around the Las Vegas Speedway!
Although I'm adventurous, I am a home body and old soul at heart. I love more than anything relaxing on the beach, or drinking a glass of wine on my patio at home. My typical weekend consists of bruch with my girlfriends followed by sailing on the San Diego bay or laying out at my pool with a good book (when I can tear myself away from an afternoon of typcal weekend cleaning or shopping :)).
I am an animal lover and have a dog and a cat who are my babies (probably because I baby them). I'm fortunate that my parents live close by and they are able to watch my animals while I am away on travel.
I currently manage Sales Operations for an email marketing company in San Diego (BlueHornet Networks). I love my job and work hard, and some might say I am a workaholic. But I work to live (not the other way around). Some may even say I am a princess based on how I travel. I believe if you work hard, you can spend your money living luxuriously wherever you go; and that's my travel motto. I lived in Paris for a semester during college and traveled all over Europe (in Hostels) and I don't plan on staying in those again. Those travels taught me to enjoy the finer things in life, which is what I tend to gravitate towards. Don't get me wrong, I will get dirty during a good game of soccer, but I prefer to sleep in a comfortable bed with a shower I don't share with strangers and a safe environment where I don't have to lock up my belongings :)
I'm excited to be traveling with two of my best girlfriends. We are looking forward to spending Australian summer lying on Bondi Beach, NYE on Sydney harbour, and hopefully mixing in a few adventures to the Reef and Outback during our stay. We are all adults in our 30s, and want a host who keeps a clean home and is honest in their listing about their home.
My motto is Go big or Go Home (which is why I'm heading to AU). It's the other side of the world for me, which is about as big as you can get!
I hope to find the perfect rental on airbnb.
