Love the Arts!
Hila is a good hostess, i felt very welcomed in her cozy place and i appreciate the information gave about the city
Hila's house is very homely indeed - relaxing, comfortable and a tranquil space. That said, it's also close to the action, so you get the best of both worlds.
Hila was very helpful and generous with her time answering a myriad of questions and providing some neat suggestions.
All in all, a cool place to stay.
Just what I needed for my nights in Vancouver. Close to some good places to eat, very close to public transit. Friendly host! Thank you Hila!
Hilda has a lovely cosy split floor, two bed apartment that has good bus access and is a 15 min walk to the Canada line, which goes to from the airport and downtown. The room has its own en-suite and access to an outside patio. There is no door to the room but rather a draw blind, but once down, you have privacy should you need it. The communal areas are beautiful decorated, clean and tidy and lead to another outside balcony.
Hilda is a gloriously fun and funny music teacher who is very happy to help you with any questions you might have about the area and is very inclusive with regards to cooking and even hanging out.
I would recommend Hilda's to any single travelers in Vancouver. You instantly feel welcome and comfortable.
Response from Hila:
Thanks Nick for your lovely feedback. All the best and the success you wish for yourself. Enjoy your journey!
SUPER HOST !!! thanks Hila for everything. That was un real pleasure to share time with you
Hila takes time to talk to you, to give informations.
Very beautiful apt. Quiet and peaceful. Transports, restaurants everything near the apt.
1 precision you have the bedroom of his son and you have your personnal bathroom :)
Hilla has a beautiful home that radiates warmth and good energy from the moment her door is opened. It's a very special place and Hilla is a gem of a person. She was inviting yet unobtrusive, quiet yet friendly, and the most kind and gracious host. Hilla's home is clean, bright, and spacious located near shops, restaurants, yoga studios, and plenty of public transit options. The neighbourhood maintains a peaceful and serene atmosphere with gorgeous tree lined streets and colourful old heritage homes. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer although I hope to have the opportunity to return sometime soon! Thank you Hilla for the most comforting space in which to stay during my final night in Vancouver, hope to see you again soon!
The bedroom is ok, and the hosts could not be better!
The bed is a futon and is fairly hard. Also, there is no door on the room, only a curtain. The bedroom is a child's room so it's colorful and fun.
Hila is so sweet! She was not only the owner of the place, she was a hostess. She showed me around Vancouver and helped me plan my days and trips. She even gave me a bowl of chicken noodle soup when I first got to her place. She is fun, kind, and inviting. We had a great time and I hope to keep in touch with her every now and again.
Hila and her husband were very nice and kind guests : ) Recommended!
Hila and her husband are lovely people and beyond the ordinary. Their experiences in life are very interesting. I was fascinated by their personalities and by their capacity to make revolutionary changes in their life. They are great travellers. Talking with them I had the feeling that travelling for them is, above all, a way to change themselves through a deep contact with other cultures, in order to make richer their spirit. They create immediately a warm, friendly relationship and, in the end, I felt almost a friendship between us. I remember with pleasure the last evening that we spent togheter: they invited me in a nice, good restaurant and I enjoyed the food and mainly their company. I hope to meet them again and I warmly recommend them to the other hosts.
