This Tuscan farmhouse is charming and comfortable. There are 2 small apartments downstairs. I would not stay in those since there are no screens and not many windows to give light. However, the upstairs apartment has screens and more windows giving light. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms. For us being older sleeping on a bed that is low to the floor hurts your back. The kitchen is good to work in but there is no microwave. Emma is American so communication with her was easy for us. She is very pleasant and
helpful. The property is private and the setting is beautiful on 10 acres of olive trees.
Emma's property is welcoming and enchanting, as well as perfectly maintained (by all American standards).
She is a charming and warm young lady, who demonstrated patience (we where 3 hours late), sense of humor, and hospitality. She welcomed us with a bowl of hand picked figs, home made olive oil, cheese and a bottle of Prosecco.
All we needed were there for us: bunch of recommendations and maps.
The villa is conveniently located close to the main roads, surrounded by an olive grove. Pictures do not give justice to the charm of this place.
We will recommend it to all of our friends travailing to Tuscany.
We wish we stayed there at least a week (it is plenty of things to do and discover)
Thank you Emma and best of luck with your dissertation!

Villa is perfect if you want your out of the way and totally chilled area of Tuscany. Everything there that you could possibly need and more. Only issue was wifi speed but cannot blame the hosts for that, network issues. Fully recommend for families, couples and all, if you stay here you have to go to chianciano therm spa, sooo relaxing.
It took us several tries to locate the road where the villa is situated. In the end Emma met us at the top of the road and guided us to the property.
Once there we were very pleased with what we found. We had the whole place to ourselves. The guests before us had left a few great food and drink items for us, which we enjoyed very much. Other than no toaster, we had everything we needed except it would have been nice to have internet.
In the end it was fun to use the oven to make our breakfast toast.
We enjoyed meeting Emma and learning a bit about our host, who came from Rome to get us set up.
We found the villa location good, for visiting the hill towns of Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino.

We spent a very nice week in Emma's house in a beautiful toscany land ! Unfortunately we didn't meet Emma but she told every informations than we needed ! The house is really practical with all furnitures and we really enjoyed the BBQ outside with a beautiful view on the olives trees ! The area is just next to the highway so perfect to go in Roma (2h approximately), Firenze (1h30), Sienna (1h) and the beach (1h30/2h approximately) ! We could discover lot of place in italia and enjoy to come back at Emma's house the evening to share a good diner ! And our bed was so confortable with lot of pillows !
We had a lovely stay at the Farmhouse which has been cleverly divided into three apartments. We all had our privacy but came together for meals which was lovely. The house is central and makes it easy to visit both Umbria and Tuscany. 2 hrs more or less from everywhere. Highly recommend it. The views are stunning
Our stay at this Tuscan Villa couldn't have been better. Emma gave us great directions to her place from the highway, and we arrived to find a local bottle of wine waiting for us! We enjoyed cooking (with ingredients bought at the nearby supermarket and olive oil from Emma's trees!), and we were glad to do our laundry as we were about halfway through our vacation. We took day trips to various places in Tuscany that Emma recommended. The place was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Everything was exactly as advertised - except the pictures don't do it justice! We would love to return one day.
We spent 5 nights at the Tuscan villa and I was impressed by the cleanness of the place and the amenities that Emma provided to us. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal as it's in the countryside (quiet) but still not too far from the supermarket, restaurants, and the highway if you want to explore the towns around. Thnx Emma!
Fantastic house for the new year! We had 5 adults and a baby, and the couple with the baby used the bottom flat for more privacy and noise (cute baby noises) control. Very peaceful Tuscan countryside with amazing views, and great mid-point for winery regions (Montepulciano is the closest, only 15 minutes drive), really everything I expected from messaging with Emma and the post of the house. I would stay there again! Gino, the neighbor who handed us the keys, was very sweet and attentive. We had to call him for extra blankets and he got them to us straight away. Thank you, Emma! Oh, only thing, finding the house was challenging at night, but Emma was great at helping us out over the phone.
WE spent 5 nights atr Emma's house, and it wowed us from the very begging. But the best thing was in the inside, the house was perfectly clean and Emma provides her guests with all you can imagine for a pleasant stay, from shamppo and body lotion to all kind of kitchen supplues, great olive oil... We really enjoyed oyr stay and strongly recommend the villa.
Emma and I are friends and colleagues from our doctoral program at UCLA, and we have known each other since 2004. Emma is a caring and elegant hostess, with impeccable taste. Her fiance, Carmelo, is also a thoughtful and generous host, both at his expertly run restaurant and at home. Emma is certain to provide a wonderful and culturally significant experience to her guests. The villa is absolutely lovely, the surrounding countryside the ideal of picturesque Tuscany. The area is full of activities and cultural sites, such as wine tasting, hot springs, Etruscan ruins, and an important archeological museum. It is also close enough to Montalcino, Montepuciano, Siena and Florence for day trips (about an hour at most, by car, from any of them), making it a perfect place to stay during your Tuscan vacation!
I met Emma in 2009, when I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my PhD in Italian Film at UCLA. We worked together at UCLA for a couple of years, before she moved to Italy for good. besides the time shared in the office, we hung out as friends on several occasions.
Simply put, Emma is a great person. She is incredibly fun, energetic, dynamic, always juggling different projects and always moving faster than most people I know. At the same time, Emma is one of the kindest people I have met, always ready to give and make other people happy. Further, she is absolutely reliable, both in her relationships with people and in her work – the fact that she is getting a PhD Should speak for itself. In short, she is passionate, hardworking and nice: it would be hard to find a more perfect combination of qualities for a host!
For these reasons, I wholeheartedly recommend Emma to the whole Airbnb community and anyone really. You will be in good hands, and you will be taken care of. It doesn’t get much better than that.
