Myself, Spain. My husband, Washington state.
We like surfing, climbing, sailing.... anything that keep us moving.
Rebecca visited Villa Las Tecas ("VLT") for about 2 1/2 weeks durnig the Christmas holidays during which time she seemed very happy. Rebecca never voiced any complaints to the management or owner until the last night of their stay, (which happened to be New Year's Eve). We strive to keep our guests happy and do all we can to make their visit enjoyable, relaxing, fun and memorable, and to resolve any problems or issues they may have. Thankfully we normally have very happy guests who return again and also refer us to their friends and family. The managers of "VLT" are very friendly, helpful, considerate and pro active with our guest's needs and hotel operations. We have spoken to the other guests who have contradicted Rebecca's complaints, and feel her review to be exaggerated, unfair and inaccurate. Appliances are maintained and in good condition, and the kitchens are equipped with everything needed to prepare and serve meals. (Most hotels don't even offer kitchens.) Regarding pets, there are just 2 cats who live outside, are rarely seen, and have no impact upon the guests. There has never been a "pet complaint" before in the history of Villa Las Tecas! In reality, VLT is small, tranquil hotel with friendly managment who work hard to make our guests vacations the best they can be! We were awarded Tripadvisor's 2013 Traveler's Chioce Award for value and customer satisfaction, and we hope that this and the many positive reviews we've had will speak volumes on our behalf... Thank you, Jay To insure transparency and truth in this review it is necessary to include the management's reply (this reply does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the owner): "Anyone who has ever been to Costa Rica knows that it would be nearly impossible to avoid cats/dogs/ and other animals. Most every property has at least one dog for safety reasons, and good luck even walking down the street without seeing an animal! A far as the common areas, a constant effort is made to keep these areas clean. However, when the hotel is full there may be some times when you can tell that the areas are "used". Luckily, none of the other guests seemed to mind when Patrick and Rebecca left their personal belongings (water shoes, towels and other articles of clothing) strewn around the pool area. Not everyone staying at the hotel were "friends" with the managers either. There were plenty others staying at the time who had no prior connection to the managers and no problem using the common areas. If being social is a problem then one may need to rethink staying at ANY HOTEL in Costa Rica ESPECIALLY OVER THE HOLIDAYS. You cannot expect to stay at any hotel ANYWHERE and be completely isolated from any other patrons and have full PRIVATE use of all areas. If complete isolation is a priority in accommodations then i would recommend spending the extra cash and renting out a private house. Patrick and Rebecca...
Rebeca and her colleague were perfect guests. Se kept me informed of her arrival and departure times and was respectful of my space. Thank you for staying, hope you two enjoyed your conference and time in Austin!
Rebeca was fantastic and awesome guest. She was really friendly and communicative. She arrived on time, she was responsible and left the flat spotless and clean. She is always welcome back and I definitely recommend her as a guest. Greetings to Madrid:)
Was a pleasure meet Rebeca and her husband.
Very nice person, frendly and with good energies. Rebeca treated very well my apartment and I would recomend to everyone!
We had nice experience with Rebeca and her husband: very punctual and pleasant couple, very good communication before and during their stay. They left everything tidy and in order. Recommended!
