We had a great time staying with Ruby! Awesome room in a really cool Portland home. Ruby went out of her way to make us feel welcome and offer suggestions about the area. If you want to be near Hawthorne or Division this is a very convenient location.
We are moving to Portland soon and are happy to have a new friend (and neighbor) in one of the coolest Portland neighborhoods!
I was looking for a home to stay in whilst in Portland for Tami Kent's Holistic Pelvic Course. It was important for me to stay somewhere that was hearty, warm, clear, friendly and sacred. I found it!
Ruby's house was a home away from home. A home that is very loved. Her artistic and heart felt touches made it a really special place to stay. I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Lots of nutritious and yummy food a five minute walk away. The streets full of thriving gardens, blossom tree's and camellia's which were all in flower being there in spring. Petals carpeted the streets after some rain and wind...it was beautiful.
Ruby is a sweet host. Very helpful and sincere, wanting to make sure you enjoy your stay.
I felt a sense of community here and felt inspired by Ruby and the home she has created. We are very fortunate that she is sharing it with us. Thank you Ruby, it was delightful to meet and stay with you.
Ruby was one the most thoughtful and friendly hosts we've ever had. Her place is super nice and clean, in a big traditional Portland Eco-friendly house. She was excellent at communicating before the booking and gave us a ton of useful tips about Portland. Ruby also has the most cbeautiful and friendly baby daughter in the World! We had a blast at her place and we are sure she will be a great host to everyone in her house.
Ruby's home is magical. My partner and I felt right at home from the moment we were greeted by our wonderful hostess and her smiling baby! We thought our stay had been perfect already... Then we both had massage sessions with Ruby. No words can describe the experience and we ABSOLUTELY recommend both the stay AND the massage!
Ruby was wonderful and welcoming with such a warm heart. Her home is even warmer and more lovely than imagined. She made me at ease with such a good nature. I would stay in her home again. Blessings in your New Year Ruby.
We had a wonderful stay at Ruby's beautiful house. Very cozy and very Portland! The two guest rooms and a bathroom are located downstairs, as the host herself stays upstairs. We also enjoyed the company of a quiet old dog, a friendly cat, and probably one of the sweetest babies we have ever seen. Ruby is very helpful in providing local information (traffic, theater, dinning, art scenes...etc) Highly recommended.
I highly recommend staying in Ruby's home. The place has a great, welcoming energy.
The room is beautifully decorated with colorful textiles and Huichol artwork. There is a door that leads to the garden and the outdoor shower.
The house itself is also beautifully decorated. There is just something very warm and nourishing about the place.
Ruby is a great host and I enjoyed talking with her and interacting with her baby daughter and her pet dog and cat.
The neighborhood is very convenient and what I imagine Portland to be. Division and Hawthorne streets are footsteps away. Check out Stumptown Coffee (about three blocks away) and East Side Deli for awesome veggie sandwiches.
Ruby was kind and welcoming, and provided a beautiful, peaceful, and clean environment in which to stay. It was usually very quiet in the house. She has an adorable one-year old daughter and a quiet dog and cat. I had the large bathroom mostly to myself, but if there is another guest, it would be shared by them. Although breakfast wasn't provided, she did send me off with some delicious beef soup on my final day (thanks, Ruby!)
Ruby bloom was competent and friendly. The room was clean and neat. The neighborhood was quiet with little automobile traffic. There are lots of nice flowers and plants in the home and yard. The backyard is secluded and a good place to sit and relax. I would stay there again.
Listing was 100% accurate and Ruby's place close to Hawthorne is ideal! It was a highlight of my Portland visit to stay with her and baby Nuwa. They were so cool and fit in perfectly with the energy of the area. I can't wait to go back next summer with my family so we can all meet each other. This is my first ever Airbnb experience and it set the bar VERY high! :)
