We booked Keith's place at the very last minute, just a few hours before we were set to arrive, and he was very responsive and accommodating. The place was tidy, private, and very comfortable, and Keith had a handy binder of information about restaurants and tourist attractions in the area, as well as food for breakfast. We felt welcomed and comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Keith!
We drove from Dublin airport and followed Keith"s careful directions to arrive at a lovely, warm home, with lots of food and drink items for us to enjoy. Keith and Danni made sure that we had a fabulous stay and we appreciated the heating during a few days of arctic weather and snow. The place was as described with privacy yet a very pleasant outlook across green pastureland. During our 2 weeks we experienced the nearby towns and ventured far afield to places like Limerick, Waterfrord and Dungarvan.
Keith offered good advice on the local area and travels and his cosy apartment proved to be a real gem.
This was a dream come true. Seriously, do yourself a favor and book here with Keith. Communication before we arrived was stellar and included directions, extremely detailed suggestions on things to do/see, etc. In person, Keith is super friendly and really nice. We didn't spend really any time with him or his wife, but our impression was great. Then we arrived and fell in love with the place! It's a studio apt above the garage, separate from the main house. The minute we got there we felt at home. The apt is beautiful complete with skylights and very tasteful decor. The pictures really don't do it justice. The heat worked amazing, the bed was super comfy, as was the couch. It feels very private and secure (the house and surrounding property are surrounded by a large fence and hedge). It's also really close to many points of interest. All in all, this was an incredible place to stay and we will definitely go back!
We felt very welcome! The place was so cute and cosy and our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel very welcomed. They were the best hosts we have had yet!
Great cosy loft, well furnished clean and tidy. The welcome scones were delicious! Keith very helpful and friendly. Handy location for exploring the local attractions, e.g. rock of Cashel. Recommend staying here, very reasonable price too.
We had a fantastic Christmas break at Keith & Danni's apartment. Based in the beautiful Irish countryside, the apartment had everything we needed and more. Keith & Danni were the most welcoming, generous and helpful hosts. We could not have asked for a better location or facilities. We will definitely return to this wonderful retreat. Thank you so much!
Place was easy to find, well equipped and as advertised. Hosts were very attentive and pleasant.
A fabulous Airbnb experience !
Keith and Dannii were fantastic hosts.
People who were in the apartment the night before - wanted to stay on .... so Keith and Dannii sent me a text asking if I would be OK with staying in a room in their house (and offered to feed me dinner !).
Of course I was just fine with that ... and we enjoyed a lovely meal together and great discussion !
I was working ... so not in holiday mode ... but Keith and Dannii had a seriously lovely lounge room, netflicks subscription, open fire and a gorgeous cat to cuddle !!!!
I would love to go back, curl up on the lounge, cuddle the cat and watch movies !!!
Dannii is / was a chef .... I was greeted with scones and tea .... and next morning a beautifully wrapped scone for morning tea was waiting with my breakfast !
An absolutely fantastic experience !!
The McClearn studio was absolutely fantastic. The apartment was private, quiet, self contained, and had everything we need for the couple of nights we were there. Sitting in the countryside, it is only a short drive (20 minutes or less) a number of different pubs, towns, and historic sights (including the not to be missed Rock of Cashel). The McClearn's were unbelievably lovely hosts. In addition to the obvious care and lengths that they had gone through to make sure the place was cosy and welcoming, one day when my traveling companion wasn't feeling well, they put together a care package for her that was exactly what she wanted and needed: tea, scones, cough medicine, etc. It was so amazing and thoughtful.
Given it's central location to a few cities (Limerick, Cork, and Kilkenny are all roughly an hour away), the McClearn's kindness and consideration, and the comfort of the apartment itself, I would recommend this spot to anyone - for any duration - as a good place to make a "home base" from which one could see a good portion of central Ireland.
We stayed 2 nights at Keith's and had a very pleasant time. Keith and Danny were warm and generous hosts. They provided delightful treats to greet us on arrival and for breakfast both mornings. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. There was a mix up with directions to finding the house, but we all sorted it out and met up in the end.
