Jason was a great host during our visit.
A friend and I went to San Diego to go to Comic-Con for a day, to see the zoo, and to hang out and explore. Jason had the room ready for us and even had bottles of sparkling water waiting--something extra that was completely unexpected but very thoughtful. He told us great places to eat, the best ways to travel around town, and even got us some food from the cafe he worked at (which had great masala chai and gelato).
The room had a single bed that connected to a bathroom. He lived with housemates, but they had set that bathroom aside just for our use. The bed was ready with blankets on the side--useful for the chilled evenings and mornings.
Overall we had a great time, ate well, got to see what we wanted, and even went down to Tijuana for a day-trip with help from Jason. He's an easy-going guy who was great to hang out with as well as a great host. He was easy to contact and communicate with before our trip and even sent me information about car rental services just in case. It really was a lot of little things that Jason did that made our trip better and that we appreciated, including calling a cab for us when we left for the airport.
Though he's planning on moving from San Diego, which is why I didn't think saying much about the room would be useful, I would recommend staying with him if you're ever looking for a place and he has something available.
Feel free to ask me about my stay with him if you have any questions or concerns.
