A very precious house built in 18 century. Very center of the city. Host has some bikes to borrow. Well maintenance and suitable for a mid size group accommodation. Hosts are very nice couple.
We stayed in the house for 3 days over a weekend and were greeted my Michael & Gitte at the metro station on arrival. The house is 2 minutes walk from the station along the canal and in a perfect location. Michael & Gitte provided us with lots of information about copenhagen and where to go. The house was perfect for us, lots of space and 3 bathrooms, ideal for 9 people. I couldn't fault anything with the house
En l'absence de Gitte et Michael, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Morten qui nous a donné les bons plans pour visiter Copenhague.
La maison est exceptionnelle de part sa conception et sa position centrale dans le quartier de Christiania !
People are really stunning and cheerful despite the windy and rainy weather during our stay.
I recommand this house
A very warm welcome we received, the house is just 2 minutes walk distance from metro station, and 1 minutes away from supermarket.
Gitte and Michael helped us showing the best things to do in Copenaghen.
the house is wonderful, it has 3 floor each has a private kitchen and bathroom.
Thanks fot hospitality , we spent a wonderful 4 days
A warm and efficient welcome, easy communications and a practical arrangement for the hand-over. The house is three en-suite rooms one atop the other, each with its own micro-wave and fridge, very comfortable beds and bedding, light and quickly warmed up in even the cold, wet, windy winter evenings. One room has a sofa and was fine for all 6 of us to gather. It must be be lovely on summer evenings when the outside space can be used as a sitting room. The area is great, plenty of shops, cafés and easy access to public transport; 20 mins by metro from the airport. We borrowed the 'house' bikes - the best way to get about in Copenhagen. We would definitely stay there again.
We visited Copenhagen for three days and stayed two nights in the House of Michael and Gitte. Christianhavn is a great Zone and the House is just 19 Minutes gar from the maistation with the Bus line 2A. Everything was clean, nice and cosy! Michael welcomed us friendly with advices for touristical highlights , and a map. Time in Cph was too short to enjoy that beautiful city. We will come back a fifth weekend to explore it more. Thanks to our hosts for that comfortable home!
We have just returned from a 4 day trip to Copenhagen. We are a group of 7, 2 couples and 3 single females from London UK.
The owners, Gitte and Michael couldn't have been any better. They welcomed us from the Metro which is less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment even though we only arrived very late, 11pm approx. They provided an overview of the area, shops, bakeries, places to eat, pubs etc and also about the city itself. Once they had shown us around the apartment they provided maps and also places they recommend we visit and also left us with some welcome drinks, a speciality beer in Denmark only available during this week! Such a pleasant touch.
The apartment itself is great. It is by the canal, with a lovely communal areas outside and within walking distance of the main city attractions. We only caught the Metro twice in 4 days to go to the airport and back (7 stops - 15 minutes, 36Kr each way) and yet we still managed to see all that we wanted to throughout the city. The apartment is on 3 floors, each with a single bedroom with an en suite bathroom for each room. The bottom and top floors both have double beds and the middle floor has 2 double beds, 1 of which is a 'split' double bed which allows for 2 singles to sleep on it should the need be there. There is also two more single beds stored in the corridors downstairs which can be put up in one of the 3 rooms if necessary allowing for a couple more people. Each room has a microwave, t.v., cutlery & plates, kettle, sink, glasses & cups. There is a shower, toilet, sink and mirror in each bathroom. They supply clean towels, soap and even shampoo! There is a scourer, washing liquid, tea towel and kitchen roll in each kitchen. There is also a hair dryer in each room, so pretty much everything you need. The rooms/apartment was very cosy and nicely warm with the heating even moving into December. The downstairs bathroom even had under floor heating, very cosy! We all stayed on the middle floor during the evenings we stayed in, on chairs that are supplied and there was more than enough room for the 7 of us to be in the same room.
This place could not have served our needs any better than it did, with wonderful hosts and it is very reasonably priced too. We whole heartedly recommend this place to anybody wanting to stay in Copenhagen for a long weekend (or more) who are a group of 4 to 8. You won't be disappointed.
If we are ever to visit Copenhagen again as a group we will be sure to ask to stay here again.
This was our first experience of Airbnb and Gitte & Michael have set the benchmark very high.
Many thanks to Gitte & Michael from us all!
I book the beautiful home for my friends from Italy. They were extremely happy to stay in pretty place and great neighbourhood. Excellent contact with the host. Everything fast and well organised.
Very nice location.just 100meters away from metro station~ inside the house, it's clean and comfortable, beds were spacious, very nice for 6 person to live.
This cosy house was perfectly located for exploring Copenhagen and it was wonderfully quiet too. We were thrilled to have free use of the house bicycles and the bakery at the end of the road made for easy and delicious breakfasts. This is not a house for cooking in but the kitchenettes in each room meant breakfast and snacks were always easy to prepare. For two couples and their teenage sons this was a great place to be.
Gitte and Michael are a really lovely couple... A pleasure to host! Hope to see them back again sometime, or I´m sure they´re also wonderful hosts, maybe I´m inspired to visit them!
