Other than immigrating from South Korea to Rochester, NY, then moving to Seattle before I was 3 years old, I didn't travel beyond Seattle and Portland till I was 19. Then I moved to New York for college and haven't stopped since. Last year I probably logged at least 100k miles flying. I'll see if I can double it in 2014.
My favorite thing about Italy was cappuccino. I didn't have a bad meal my entire trip in Greece. Besides great Indian food, I had a great steak dinner in London.
I'm very comfortable in Chinese-speaking parts of Asia and in Korea, since I speak Mandarin and Korean. I'm comfortable cooking both Northern Chinese and Korean cuisine as I grew up with restaurants my father operated. Visiting Bangkok was strange, because it was my first time traveling in Asia where I didn't speak the language. Singapore is non-stop eating. How come it's so good?
Seoul is one of my favorite places to visit. My first visit was in 1995. I'd like to visit every year if I can. Taipei is another favorite of mine.
I've lived in Seoul, Rochester (NY), Seattle, New York, Hong Kong, San Mateo, Phoenix, Tempe, and Chicago.
I'm working with one of my best friends to improve the job search experience for engineers.
Looking forward to meeting folks in the airbnb community.
