Most of my travel has been for work: I do production for theater and dance. Most touring has been shoe-string, including torch-lit gigs in a 14th-century German fortress on a hilltop in Romania and an old farm in Poland, to a sunny festival in Vancouver. I've driven trucks and vans of gear back and forth across the country several times, usually routing myself the most interesting way possible, so interesting that I've run out of gas in the middle of nowhere...twice. More recently, for pleasure, I've started doing some self-contained bike-touring. I've lived in Baltimore for ten years now and have a ridiculously great set of neighbors with whom I get to throw pig-roasts and other food-centric alley-blocking events (you can check out our infrequently updated (email hidden)). I'm self-sufficient, bookish (when given the chance), and delighted to meet new people. UPDATE: one of my neighbors (Keith) was so great, I married him. And we have a sunny-spirited little kiddo now, too!
