We stayed here over the holiday weekend and had an excellent stay. The house was perfect for our small group of 4, but could comfortably sleep a dozen people. I'd like to clarify that the house has 3 bathrooms, which was a pleasant surprise when we showed up since an earlier review mentioned there was only one bathroom. The place has a fantastic location (less than 10 min walk from the main part of Bourbon) and is in a safe neighborhood too - we didn't even bother with cabs when we finished partying and just walked home after 2am. Finally, for what it was worth the AC worked very well in all three bedrooms.
Ben was a great host and gave us some excellent bar and food recommendations, and even helped us check in a little early.
All in all it was a great experience, and we would definitely rent from them again.
My host was really cool and it was exactly what I expected at the right price
My friends and I really enjoyed staying at Ben's historic cottage. The house was vey clean and very spacious we had more than enough space for a group of nine. Ben and his staff were very nice and extremely helpful with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone with a large group. Thank you so much Ben we really enjoyed our stay and please thank Buck for us as well..
Couldn't have asked for better hosts, both Ben and Jeff were super hospitable and v knowledgable about the area. Love New Orleans and NOLA
Easy check in and the space was exactly what we were looking for. Nice to be a a few blocks away from Bourbon St. and closer to Frenchmen St. Balcony was a ideal too.
Was here with a bachelor party group of 10, and the place worked well for our purposes: had enough beds to fit everyone and was close enough to walk to many of the places we wanted to check out (both in French Quarter and out of it). It should be noted though that the place is in worse shape than the photos in the post imply, probably after one too many bachelor parties. The bathroom in particular was almost falling apart - and a single restroom is also wildly insufficient for that many people in a house. All in all was still a positive experience though, and it was easy enough dealing with Liza to check in/out.
Perfect place for big parties. We were a total of 12 girls and had more than enough space for everyone. The bunk beds were nice and clean, enough towels for 12 girls!
The location was great- even though its walking distance from French quarter, cab drive is recommended at night, walking totally fine during the day. Loved the neighborhood, not recommended for "crazy" parties unless you can manage to keep the noise level down. It is a neighborhood and you want to be respectful of the people who actually live there.
The only con (but small one) was that there is no air conditioning. We had to open the windows- luckily it cooled off at night and they offered to bring AC units but there is no central air and it was really hot for a bit. Also, I don't think we ever got the Wifi to work even though someone came by to fix it. If you're picky and are looking for all of the amenities this might not be the best place BUT if you want a nice, clean, cool place in an awesome neighborhood that can fit a big party, this is your spot.
The reservation was canceled 36 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Stayed here with 9 other guys for a bachelor party on St. Patrick's Day weekend. Considering there weren't many options this place worked out well enough. Neighborhood was a little sketch, but close to the FQ. Pretty much just a place to crash. A couch, about 6 mattresses on the floor, microwave/fridge, and a tiny bathroom. Nothing fancy, like I said, it was for a bachelor party so it worked out for us.
Nice place, good location.
