Everything about my experience with Nicole and her wonderful apartment was just perfect, I could not have wished for a better landlord or apartment during my stay in Cambridge! As a host Nicole is super-effecint, warm and very commucative - she has even baked a welcome fudge cake for my arrival. So very kind and thoughtful!
The apartment itself is light and airy with bags of character. Plus: it is nice and toasty, which was a BIG plus as there was a sudden cold snap with snow in Boston the week I was there. It didn't affect the room temperature at all, to my surprise.
The kitchen has everything you could possibly ask for should you want to stay in and cook - but note that there are so many good restuarants and cafes in the area that you will be spoilt for choice. The loving room is a wonderful space, it also has a good writing desk(s) which isn't shown in the picture taht is a delight to work at - I got so much work done he week I lived here!
We spent two weeks in Nicole's apartment. We have lived in Cambridge previously and one of the reasons we choose the apartment was it's great central location - 10 minutes walk to either the Central or Harvard Square T stop and close to Massachusetts Ave which has lots of food and drink options. The apartment is a good size for a 1 bedroom with lots of space for luggage and Nicole left a whole set of drawers and made space in the closet for us to unpack which was very welcome. It was also toasty, toasty warm - we were there for a blizzard- you will not be cold. Nicole was really great to communicate with, and check in and out was super easy. She kindly left us milk and coffee - very welcome after a long trip.
A few things to note - as mentioned in some other reviews the apartment is on the top floor and the coin operated laundry room is in the basement so a bit of stair climbing involved. The building is old- part of its charm- but also means the heating made some noise that might trouble light sleepers. Parking is on the street with a neighborhood permit and it can be tricky to find a space in the evenings.
Nicole's place was spacious, cozy, and clean. It's in a great location between Harvard and Central square on a quiet block. She was also really easy to get in touch with while we were staying about arrival time, leaving time, and any other inquiries.
Very good place to stay in Boston!
Nicole (website hidden) were wonderful hosts and very helpful for a longer stay. Their place is lovely and in a great location convenient to both Harvard and Central Squares. The kitchen is wonderful and great for cooking, overall I highly recommend staying here!
Nicole's apartment was very clean and spacious. I was very happy about the big kitchen and made ample use of it. Great stay!
We were in town for the marathon and did not want to stay downtown. The location worked very well, close to public transport and pretty close to Harvard. Lots to do and see here. We also made use of the handy public bike system. The appartment has character and had everything we needed. The hosts welcomed us with homemade delecious brownies. We got to meet Nicole (website hidden) at the end of our stay. Thanks a lot for the hospitality.
Great experience. Apartment was as represented - comfortable, personal, light, warn - we arrived to a two day blizzard! Nicole was on top of everything - answering our questions and preparing the home. Perfect location minutes from Harvard Square, Mass Ave. and all Boston has to offer.
We had a great time, the neighborhood is terrific and its an easy walk to the red line. We enjoyed Cambridge and would definitely recommend Nicole as a host, the trip was easy and hassle free!
We rented Nicole's place while considering a move from Denver to Boston. We wanted to know if we could live in a place like hers. We currently have 1100 sq feet in the Wash Park/South Broadway area of Denver and we love it. Several people we talked to about moving to Boston suggested the Cambridge area as the closest thing Boston has to our neighborhood. Nicole's place was really nice, clean, and conveniently located to walk to great shopping and eating out. The kitchen is small, but well stocked if you did want to eat in. We never did. The only downsides to Nicole's place were related to living in a place like it year round... it's on the 4th floor, price per sq ft in that area is really high, no dogs, etc. If you are vacationing in Boston and want a convient place to start and end each day, this is a great apartment to rent and Nicole is a great host!
Nicole and her party were great guests. We'd have them back anytime.
Nicole was a breeze to communicate with and to host----she and her guests left my house in fine shape and I will be delighted to host her and her friends again in the future.
Nicole you guys are welcome back anytime. Thanks for leaving the place in such great shape and we are glad to be able to share the cabin with such easy and respectful guests.
I have known Nicole for my entire life.
I have stayed at her apartment numerous times. it is very easy to get to with Public Transportation (to Harvard Square). It is quiet and gets great sunlight in the living room.
Nicole is upfront and trustworthy, and will be easy to deal with if you stay in her apartment. She will probably have ideas for what you can do while you're in Cambridge!
