Amazing sunset view is outstanding. We had our best meal in Italy at pin bon 2 minutes up the road.
Need Arabella to help us find the place as our GPS got lost.
Arabella was super great! :) She kept in touch well as our stay date got closer, then even met us early to accommodate our time frame. Her plan to meet her guests and escort/lead them to her villa is necessary and helpful because the villa is in a wonderfully hidden niche up on the hillside! Once there, Arabella is like a mini tour guide; she explained the area and made great suggestions on sites to see and restaurants to try. She's warm and gracious ~ our new friend! :) We would definitely suggest going to this villa prepared to make your own breakfasts as it is quite far from amenities. Lunches and dinners would be great there, too, if you didn't plan to go site seeing. The patio view is the gem of the place ~ a good reason to hang out there! It's a sweet place, small sitting area but 2 nice bathrooms and bedrooms. Be prepared to drive a bit to get into towns nearby; our GPS saved us! But it was a terrific adventure and we were loved our time there. :)
We saw our host briefly on the night we arrived. She took us to the villa and showed us round. She was very pleasant. The villa was charming but quite remote. It was very clean and inviting with the most exquisite view, which we got to see the next morning, as we had arrived very late at night.
Arabella is wonderful! She met us, guided us to the house on the hill, then explained everything we needed to know about the house and area. The house is excellent with plenty of space, but the highlight definitely is the beautiful terrace with a fantastic view to the water.
The small grocery nearby in Pitelli probably has everything you'll need, but guests might consider bringing groceries in the beginning to avoid needing to go back out ... because you may never want to leave.
We spent about 10 days between here, Cinque Terre, and Lucca and the best part of our trip was the simplest part ... preparing and eating dinner on Arabella's terrace. A great place to relax and enjoy.
This was a great villa with stunning views over Lerici both day and night. The villa is well-appointed, comfortable for four people and very quiet. A good base for visiting the Cinque Terra, with a 15 km drive to La Spezia where there is free all-day parking near the station.
Arabella was very welcoming and the accomodation, set in a beautiful garden was superb; very clean, bright and airy with a lovely view. Arabella was very helpful and was able to be contacted without any delay. We would highly recommend this listing.
The house had an amazing view and was in a good location to get to Lierici. The restaurant nearby was excellent (you need to book on a Saturday).
The outstanding feature of this villa is the amazing view from the terrace. This is a compact, two bedroomed villa with a dining/sitting/kitchen area and shower room on the ground floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. We were here to visit/walk the Cinque Terre and took the ferry from Lerici which was a delightful trip. The villa is high on a hill and as others have said approached by a winding, steep and at times narrow road. There is no internet available, but we went to the Tamoil gas station a couple of Ks on the Lerici road to use their free wifi, great coffee too and very friendly there. Being English tea is essential to our well being, and in that regard the lack of a kettle was rather odd, and only a two cup coffee maker. Whilst the villa sleeps four there is only a small two seater sofa in the sitting area, however we spent our time on the terrace. There is a newly fitted supermarket adjacent to the meeting point for supplies, but we weren't able to get dishwasher tablets anywhere, which impacted slightly on drinking time! Incidentally the local Vermentino white wine was very good, as was the red. A unique experience, a few minor touches would have been appreciated.
We had a very pleasant stay in Arabellas room. The accomodation was as described and very clean and cosy. We can fully recommend Arabella as a host. The only thing which would be helpful is a fridge.
