I am probably a bit old, although I recently stayed in a hostel. I compare this to the Airbnb experience, and I ask myself - why would you stay in a hostel? For the same price or better you can have an apartment or large room and access to all the conveniences. I can appreciate the need to talk to exotic boys and girls, but Airbnb is better...
Why would you stay in a hotel for that matter? I can apreciate the need to flood a bathroom every now and then, but Airbnb is better....
The place I found most interesting on my travels was Detroit - a city in the richest nation on earth in ruins. A good place to trespass empty office towers and trade scrap metal. I have been to a few more places also.
In future I would like to visit all the Metro/Underground networks in the former Soviet Union and also take the ferry from Aberdeen to Shetland to Orkney to Faeroe to Iceland.
I listen to all types of music from country to techno, continuum exclusive of pop.
I also like all sports and exercise and I enjoy recreational reading. I am reading 'In Cold Blood' now and I think my favorite book is Catch 22. I like non fiction topics like law, society, economics and history. I also like movies and shows that are not trivial.
I would like have a beer with the Polish women's indoor volley ball team.
I look forward to meeting you all...
