Me gusta mucho bailar , Salsa , Tango, los ritmos afro antillanos en general.
Saul was great, he picked us up at the bus station and dropped us off again later. He also showed us a little of the town and recommended places for us to visit. The accommodations were very comfortable.
Saul was a great host, picking me up from the bus station and showing me around town once I arrived. I was able to keep to myself after that which was great, both Saul and his mum Rosa are lovely people and give you plenty of space, it was a great opportunity to pratice my Spanish with them as they both speak Spanish only. My only criticism would be some of the cleanliness, the fridge and kitchen were a bit questionable and the bedroom had some ants in it, if you're a bit of a clean freak it may not be for you. Outside of that I loved my time at Saul's.
Response from Saul:
Gracias Bejamin , por tus comentarios , y porsupuesto tomaremos las correciones necesarias con respecto al refrigerador y cocina, y las hormigas . Son de mucha ayuda para mejorarnos , quedamos atentos , gracias nuevamente.
Saul's place was as it said; a traditional family home. The actual house is owned by his mum. I would describe it as worn as any family home is but clean and spacious in a quiet neighbourhood. The best thing about this place was the hospitality from Saul and his mother. Saul not only met us from the bus station, he showed us the area to familiarise ourselves as well as driving us to the local laundry and into town to the right area to get our money changed. He was friendly, helpful and a real bonus for anyone rocking up to a new place for the first time. The walk into town is about a 20min walk so not suitable who wants to be in the hub of everything of can't manage the journey. For our stay however it was spot on.
Saul was an amazing host! He took us out for tea as soon as we arrived at the bus station. Our cell phones don't work well in Mexico and thus we were grateful that he was such a gracious host, it made the whole experience low stress. He also recommended a beach for us to go to that we would not have found otherwise.
His house is a little far from town but he took us into town the first day and when we got a little lost coming back he answered our phone call right away. I enjoyed the opportunity to see a neighborhood of Oaxaca that is not super touristic but was beautiful and safe. A wonderful host and a private and comfortable room! Very cool guy with excellent taste in boots. Yes!
Saul is a good host. He picked me up when I couldn't find his houe and gave me a ride to the bus station.
His house is in a nice area not far from the center of Oaxaca. I recommend staying with Saul.
Great hosts! I highly recommend this place. The family is very friendly. Saul picked up and dropped us off at the airport. He gave us a great orientation to the city. He had a very positive attitude. The house is located in a very convenient neighborhood. If you take the cobblestone road through Xochilmilco neighborhood, you will be downtown in less than 15 minutes. They provided us with water and towels. The sheets and towels were changed every week. We spent a month there. The house has a lot of light, it's safe, and you can feel at home during your stay. This place was a big addition in enjoying my trip to Oaxaca.
Our stay was wonderful. Saul is a fantastic host, he picked us up from the bus and then drove us to the bus at the end of our trip even though it left at 1 AM. His mother is a very nice lady who made us feel very welcome in their home. The home is great, the bedrooms are large, showers have hot water, the internet works great, and they even leave out fruit and bottled water every day. The neighborhood feels very safe and it was nice to stay in a residential area and feel more at home while still being only a 20 minute walk from the sights. Literally no complaints!
I spent 7 nights at Saul´s house - it is more accurately his mother´s house. She is a delightful, elderly lady, very religious, who warmly welcomed me. Her Spanish was a little fast for my taste, but that was my problem, not hers! I was allowed to use the kitchen and to wash and dry clothes in their courtyard. The room was quiet. Saul made every attempt to meet me at the bus station upòn my arrival - again, my fault not his that we did not connect. Once I was settled and he had oriented me to the city, I did not see him again.
Saul was the perfect host, he collected us from the bus, brought us out and about in Oaxaca on our first night, and then managed to find the time to bring us to the bus station on our last day. Could't have been more helpful. We thoroughly recommend Saul's place for anyone staying in Oaxaca.
Saul was the perfect host for our stay in Oaxaca, he appeared at the bus station to pick us up and after a warm welcome at the house from his mother he took us into town to point out the main sights. The accommodations are as described, basic but clean and a safe area a lovely 20 to 30 minute walk from the sights. I would not hesitate to book again thanks Saul!!
