Perfect little hideaway! My boyfriend and I stayed here on Valentines weekend and we loved it. The studio was cozy, clean and spacious. We were looking for a local getaway and we got just that. We loved the place so much that we decided to stay in and cook our own meals instead of going out. We met Bob on our second day there and he was very pleasant. He also gave us avocados, oranges and passion fruits, which was very generous of him. There was also a dog on the property and he was so sweet. The studio is only about 15 minutes from Temecula and if ever we decided to go on another mini vacation, we will definitely go back.
Fantastic little studio in the hills! The location is great for wine tasting near Temecula and was a relatively short haul on the freeway from San Diego. Communication before we arrived was easy and after we arrived, Bob came and introduced himself and provided avocados and blood oranges! The studio itself is clean and efficient, with a little bit of everything you may need. We enjoyed our stay very much!
What a lovely getaway! We were looking for a quiet escape in the mountains and we definitely got it! This apartment was definitely more than we expected. I was under the impression it was an apartment over Kris and Bob's residence but it was entirely separate :) Bob greeted us after we had a little time to settle and gave us a lay of their property. He also brought over fresh oranges and passion fruits picked from their property. They were delicious for breakfast! We had a little trouble trying to get the bath to work as I believe the drain plug needs to be attached. Bob came over to assist us immediately but no luck! But other than not being able to soak in a bath, we had the best time! Thanks so much!
The hosts were very welcoming and Bob was very sweet and attentive. They gave us fresh fruit from their farm which we enjoyed. This place is a great retreat away from the world. I highly recommend if you need to do some writing for reflection. Beautiful views and very peaceful. We were here in late December and it was extremely cold at night. While there is a space heater to warm up the place definitely bring warm clothes.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Bob and Kris' gorgeous property for 3 nights. It was a perfect little getaway spot for a mellow vacation. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed was cozy, the shower was hot, and the kitchen was functional for small meals. The view was beautiful and I loved the small balcony. We met Bob upon arrival, as well as the sweet dogs, and he made us feel welcome. Kris, we didn't get a chance to meet, but was always easy to contact when I had questions. They had a great TV with premium channels, which was nice to enjoy a movie or two. I loved driving in and out of the area, the scenery was beautiful. Overall, we had a lovely experience and highly recommend it.
Great place to stay! The room was clean, the views were amazing, the bed was comfortable, the area was quiet. Felt so much better than being in a hotel room, because they really used high quality materials to create a beautiful space for 2. We put the stove & fridge to good use. Check in/out was simple, and we had minimal interaction with the hosts, which was fine with us. What we did have was very pleasant, and we were surprised by a gracious gift of oranges on Thanksgiving from the property. My husband and I were very pleased, & we will definitely stay here again next time we visit the in-laws.
My friend and I stayed at Kris and Bob's place over the weekend, and we loved it! We were in town to run the inaugural Wine Destination Half Marathon Race in Temecula (if you're a runner, we HIGHLY recommend this race/series), and also make our way through all the wineries in the area. We were looking for something more affordable than the hotels that were available in Temecula. This was a perfect location for us and it was BEAUTIFUL! We were only 20 minutes away from all the wineries, and it was incredibly easy to get to. We arrived around 2 AM PST on Friday morning, which felt like 5 AM to us Midwesterners, so if we could find it in the dark and sleep deprived, then you'll certainly be able to! The bed was very comfortable, the room was the perfect size for two people, very clean and seemed newly updated. The hosts left bottled waters, coffee, and tea for us, which was much appreciated. We met Bob, the husband, on our second day and he asked if we needed anything. We were all set, but we certainly appreciated the check-in! I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your beautiful place!
The apartment is very lovely, spacious, comfortable and pleasant. We have high standards for cleanliness and this place definitely met our standards. Even the baseboards were clean. There is a walking path on the property that has some very interesting trees, shrubs and other plants which we really enjoyed. Although we never met Kris, only her husband briefly, she was always available by phone if you needed anything. They are very respectful of your space and privacy. The dogs are friendly and once they know you, you will feel a sense of protection from them.
It is conveniently located to Temecula. It took us about 15 minutes to get to downtown Temecula. We recommend a great family owned restaurant called Mo's Egg House on Winchester, and Spuntino's cafe for lunch or dinner.
We highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again.
This is a great apartment. I was there for a week and felt like I could stay a month.
Kris and her husband was available anytime I needed, especially when I got lost (I'm horrible at directions). The place was even nicer than the pics she has posted. There was coffee available for me (a MUST for my mornings) and cold bottled water in the fridge. The bed was soft and comfortable (which was very much needed after a 15 mile obstacle course race and two 12 hour days of volunteering). The patio outside was amazing and a great way to just take in the beautiful view and relax. No cars zipping by, no traffic, no noise ... it was great!
I am looking to find other races in the area just so I can stay in Bonsall again.
