The State House Inn - an Ascend Collection Hotel
Director of Sales and Marketing
My stay at the State House Inn was wonderful -- just what I was hoping for. I was doing research at the Lincoln Library, and it was an easy walk. The room was comfortable and clean, the housekeepers were attentive, the front desk staff was warm and helpful, and the breakfast servers greeted me with a smile each morning. The breakfast buffet was delicious and expansive. I would definitely stay here again -- I hope I get to do so sometime!
This was our 2nd time staying at the State House. Our stay was as pleasant as the first time.
Kara met us when we arrived. Kara was very pleasant and made me feel like I knew her. Front desk staff was courteous also.
When we checked out, Kara was there again. She asked how our event was the night of our stay. Wished us a safe trip back.
Already reviewed all was good
Had a great stay at the State House Inn. After original booking Joe was able to work with us and extend to 2 days. The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. A good value for the price. Thanks Joe.
Facilitated booking at the hotel. Timely response, no hassles.
Joe responded very quickly to every email/question that we had. Joe was out of the country when we arrived, tho he still communicated with us within a very short time of us emailing me. He did everything to make our stay very enjoyable and memorable. If only all hosts were all like Joe. We hope to go back and stay again at the State House Inn in the future.
If you are a "mid-century modern" enthusiast, this hotel is a must.
This is a luxurious hotel room. And a good deal. If you want to stay in a hotel, that is. I enjoyed taking a shower and walking around in a bath robe for my use. The weather channel didn't work, but the rest was as good as it gets.
I have had the pleasure of Staying at The State House Inn several times, which each stay a perfect experience. This is a hotel for a discriminating traveler. It sports an updated mid-century decor in every element. A great place for business, and fun for the whole family as well. You can travel far and wide and not come across a place like this anywhere. No other hotel even comes close in Springfield.
I have known Joe for a fair many years and have had the occasion to visit his Springfield property a number of times. From the posh (swoon-worthy) Mid-Century decor to the service and facility itself, The State House Inn is a fantastic hotel with all the amenities a casual or business traveler would need. With all the interesting History surrounding Springfield Il (Abraham Lincoln etc.) it's worth a stop and a stay! Knowing the Managing Partner at the City of Springfield's top hotel has it's benefits! 5 Star service all the way around! *Note: Make sure to check out the swank "No Name Lounge" at the hotel - smart cocktails and great music!
