Wonderful experience at the studio! Pamela had everything prepared just as described, and the studio itself offered everything we needed for a great weekend. The space was clean, comfortable and stocked with niceties like fresh coffee beans and extra toiletries in the bathroom. We also enjoyed the outdoor space with the patio, picnic table and fire pit. Would definitely stay again!
Only regret is we couldn't stay longer. A perfect little get-away for the dogs and me on a lovely spring weekend. The studio is close to downtown Suttons Bay, but still quiet and secluded. The dogs really enjoyed romping in the meadow. I wish I could take the shower home with me!
Great space and great host! Loved the studio!
Pamela was extremely responsive leading up to the trip and helped us with any questions we had about the property & accommodations. She greeted us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed and was extremely friendly. After that first greeting she left us to enjoy our time on the property and gave us full privacy as if the studio & property was our own. We absolutely LOVED our time there. The location is perfect with a beautiful winery on the water just a mile north, downtown Suttons Bay a 10 minute drive, Traverse City just a 25-30 minute drive and Sleeping Bear Dunes only 30 minutes away. The studio was clean and had all of the amenities we needed, and our dog absolutely loved her daily runs in the meadow. We'll definitely be staying at the studio again! Highly recommend it!
Great spot! Super easy to get to and a nice quiet escape. Pamela was quick to respond and very helpful. Nice spot along the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. Would love to return.
We stayed at Pamela's cabin for our 5th anniversary. We loved the experience. I was able to suprise my wife with a cute cabin in the woods. We drank wine, played cards and sat by the fire. The experience was unique and will be fondly remembered the rest of our lives. The cabin was even better than the pictures.
Pamela is an amazing host. She was quick to respond to all questions. The cabin was clean and neat. A cozy Getaway. We want to return in the summer or autumn to see the landscape in a different setting. We highly suggest staying at Pamela's cabin!
Oh and there is a french press amoung the other amenities.
Pamela's cottage was perfect. It was very quaint and charming and the perfect place for a serene night. Pamela was a great host and was super helpful. I'd highly recommend staying here.
Lovely, cozy cottage. The studio was warm and clean, and the surroundings were very peaceful. The perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway.
My boyfriend, dog, and I all stayed at Pamela's studio over New Year's weekend. We were looking for a central place that would allow us to explore Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Sutton's Bay, and surrounding areas. Pamela's studio was perfectly located between everything, while also providing us with our own private space to return to each day and a meadow in which to play with our dog.
When we arrived, the fireplace was already lit - and heats up the entire studio really well - and everything we needed for the holiday weekend was already in the studio when we arrived (obviously, except for food, which we brought with us). We were especially excited to find she had an electric kettle and french press - the latter of which we debated bringing with us. She also has a basket full of menus of local restaurants in the studio, so we were able to pick out some places to try before heading into Sutton's Bay or Traverse City. Without really needing anything, we were able to dive right into our weekend and didn't need to bother Pamela at all during our stay. In fact, aside from her saying hello and making sure we didn't need anything, she let us have our privacy and enjoy our weekend of hiking and exploring - exactly what we were looking for.
Although we walked around the meadow with our dog, we didn't use the outdoor grill or outdoor seating area/fire pit. However, if we had visited in any other season besides winter, that is probably where we would have spent most of our time. I suppose we'll just have to plan another trip in another, less snowy season!
Bottom line, I don't think we could say enough positive things about this studio - we really loved everything from the location to the collection of board games to the amenities/accents provided to the large, very nice shower. The only minor drawback we saw was completely a personal preference and not enough of an issue to give the studio less than 5 stars: the studio has a very nice, new memory foam mattress that is on the soft side. Although we both love memory foam mattresses (we have been shopping for one and know they are no small investment!), we just prefer a little firmer mattress. However, is that something that would deter us from returning to the studio? Absolutely not - all three of us enjoyed our time at the studio too much, and we can't wait to plan another trip!
We had a great time at the studio, very cozy and relaxing! I like that it was well off the main road yet close enough to town.
Pam who is a fellow Airbnb host was a fabulous guest! She was very flexible and worked with our schedules regarding her check-in. She is very quiet and a pleasure to talk to. We give her our highest recommendation. Happy Travels!
