Hallo I am George a Canadian Young and a Professional living and working in Amsterdam.
To make it up , my host is a 6 star guy over 5 stars .
The house is on a very well area , close to main attractions , and also very close to Anna Franks house. (And the house varies many surprises.)
Next time , if its available will consider this place again and again.
L'appartamento è davvero perfetto, la posizione fantastica in un quartiere centrale e tranquillo. E' stata un'esperienza piacevole e da ripetere. Host assolutamente disponibile e premuroso.
George is friendly, was quick to get back in touch and really easy to communicate with. His flat is light and airy, with a nice deck off of the kitchen. Loved being able to make fresh coffee every morning. The location is tops...a great neighborhood with tons of restaurants nearby. We enjoyed 'De Reiger', Los polinos, and Assagi, all very close. A greats expenence all around.
A nice apartment in a very cozy and quiet part of Jordaan, a unique and fantastic area in Amsterdam. Nice apartment with a small terrace. George was very pleasant and flexible, and replied very fast to any inquiry. I would definitely pick this place again.
The flat is nice even if the heating was not working (we used george's little stove) and that could be a problem during colder months. The neighborhood is very fine and, generally, the position of the flat is perfect.
I have been to Amsterdam several times in my young life, both for work and play. (What happens in Amsterdam, stays in Amsterdam.) I have lived on a houseboat, in flats, and hotels. I must say that George's flat in the Joordan is one of my favorite yet! It is comfy, well equiped (the coffee maker that grinds fresh beans will start your day off just right!), and the neighborhood is filled with delicious restaurants, bars, and shops. (And there is a wonderful Bike rental place, Bike City, just around the corner - (website hidden)). The back deck is a wonderful benefit as well. You quickly adapt to the ringing of the Westerkerk, This was the bell that Anne Frank heard when in hiding nearby. When it struck six each night the family was able to move around as the workers in the business below had left for the evening. The business was her father's pectin company.)
As you can see George's flat is great place to relax, sleep, and feel the spirit of this incredible city.
Prima locatie, midden in A'dam.
A great location in a beautiful and relaxed neighbourhood. The flat was clean and tidy, with good natural light, and some lovely local bars to grab an end-of-evening drink in. Also good access for trams and local services, and you're very close to Anne Frank House, if you can cope with the queues!
George is very easy going host. His place is very nice and the terrace is perfect to enjoy the summertime. We enjoyed staying there a lot.
My trip was easy and George's apartment was a big reason why. It's in a perfect location, only 1 floor up (easy for our big suitcases) and a quick walk or bike ride to anywhere in the city. The apartment stayed cool in the warmer weather, the WIFI worked well, the washing machine worked well too. There was no TV but who needs a TV when in Amsterdam in the summer! I really appreciated how easy and seamless the in/out process was and really enjoyed the back patio.
George was the perfect guest, an absolutely gentle and confident Dutch guy who came with some friends for a long week-end. They definitely left the appartment as tidy as it was before their arrival! George, you're more than welcome every time!
I haven't met George in person but from the email exchanges we got and what my friend told me he is a really cool guy. He was always fast to answer emails and lef the apartment in great condition. I think I'll check his place if I ever go to Amsterdam ! Don't hesitate to host him.
George was a great guest. We and highly recommend them to other hosts.
George's apartment is in the middle of 'gezellig' Jordaan and has a truely unique roofterrace where you can eat, drink and chill. His cozy apartment has everything you need and is clean, nice and new.
perfect terrace, comfy large bed, Westerkerk churchbells (same ones Anne Frank would hear everyday), great coffee machine and walking distance to all of amsterdam's attractions. George is easy going and has many great tips for all things fun and fine in Amsterdam. What more can you want?
