The experience in that accommodation was TERRIBLE.
When we arrived, the house was completely dirty.
We found the room in a complete state of abandonment.
Floor, wardrobe, walls, drawers, mirrors were dirty and so dusty.
It seemed, in fact it was so, that none would clean for months.
We found a three months ago bus ticket and nasty linen under the bedroom. We spent 3 hours to clean the room from bottom to the top. One hour to look for the vacuum.
We found the sheets on the bedroom seemed dirty and don't iron.
It were laid on the bed after washing.
Bathroom and kitchen in the same conditions.
The decision to choose this room was made by evaluating the photos and reviews; in my opinion not true or probably people accustomed to living in filth and disorder.
We pay a lot of money for that accommodation.
We called immediately the host, Laurie.
He was in Bali. We ask him a refund because we wanted to leave immediately.
But on Saturday it was impossible to find a new accommodation.
He apologized for the incident, saying that his friend, Sam, would have had to find us a clean room.
We paid in advance over 1.300 $ and he promised to refund us.
We were obliged to stay for the money. Without an immediate refund we could not afford another accommodation. Even the time we're spending now to do this feedback is too much for that people.
I believe that if someone would be a host earning much money, he must be serious and clear explaining everything.
I do not recommend anyone to use this room. Not enough to have a decent location. We have had other experiences with airbnb very satisfactory but this, along with another in Rosbery, remains the absolute worst.
For those who did not believe what I have just written, we have an album full of color pictures with interesting details.
We finally paid the maid service. Useless to make other comments.
We are still waiting for the refund.
Be aware and chose another accommodation!
Laurie, was fantastic, full of good advices to enjoy Sydney. The house is worm and we feel just like home ! Amazing location in Bondi very convenient.
Laurie was a very pleasant guest who was easy going and relaxed.
Everything was perfect!
The couple were awesome & fun. I hope they return!
Laurie is an old friend who lived next door to me for several years in Bangkok, Thailand. As well as being great company I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a guest.
Having traveled intensely with Laurie, I feel quite competent informing any airbnb home owner that they would be most lucky to have Laurie as their guest. Laurie is gracious, highly respectful and most responsible. Laurie goes the extra mile to assure that all whom he is with have an outstanding experience. This conscientiousness naturally extends to the home and the homeowners. He is impeccable. Enough said.
