Le 5 cose di cui non posso fare a meno?
La natura, il sole, il mare, lo sport, i cibi toscani e purtroppo il mio computer...
La mia priorità è l'ospitalità e mi fa piacere vedere i miei ospiti felici!
Sette Cieli does involve a bit of a drive, but once you get to to the top of the hill it makes it all worth it! It's an absolutely stunning property - peaceful, gorgeous, and perfectly situated for the best sunsets in Tuscany. We couldn't have been happier there and I would recommend it highly.
We just had the chance to stay one night. The house is clean and comfortable and the view is very nice. The hosts are very welcoming.
Just be sure to have a stable car for the way to the house.
Ambrogio is very nice and a good contact. Thx for your honesty
Yes, the road is rough. And yes, it takes at least 15 minutes to get up there. And yes, your car will get dusty and dirty.
But if that's the price for a unique view, that's even more impressing in reality than in the pictures, I'm gladly willing to pay it everyday. Sette Ciele is a beautiful and authentic winegrowing-estate, with a bigger main building and this cottage only 60-70 meters away, that's still big enough to host 5 people easily. We were just 3 and didn't use the upstairs level at all.
Walter and Wanda and ther family, which take care about the houses and the wonderful gardens, are great hosts and we had some nice chats while watching the sun going down in the sea. The view from the small terrace in front of the house is the best we've seen in 6 weeks travelling through Italy! The enormous lawn was perfect for our 1-year old to run riskfree and play with Lola the dog and watch the wild horses, that came by on the morning time to enjoy the sunrise with us.
Only drawback was, that during our stay there were steadily small explosions heard from the surrounding hills to keep the wild boars away from the vineyards. So if you are sensitive make sure to avoid the 2-3 weeks of explosion season just before the harvest.
We hope that the house will also be available in future, because we will definitely come back with friends next year. Thanks Ambrogio, Walter and Wanda!
Amazing place! Wonderfull hosts that were really friendly and helpfull. The hardest part was to find the house but that small headace was forgotten straight away when we arrived! Wonderfull view, nice wine, lots of sun! I recommend this place to anyone! See you again walter, varna and ambrogio!
We stayed in the house for 2 nights.
It is quite a long ride up the hill but it is definately worth it.
The view over the vineyard and all the way over to the sea is amazing.
The house is very cute and has everything you need.
There is a spacious meadow around it enough for 50 children to play ball.
You can see the sea and the sunset from the top floor bed, which makes this place very special.
In less than half an hour you can get to the sea and once you know your way around, you will find some nice, calm beaches there.
The hosts were very nice to us, we even got a free bottle of wine from their personal vineyard.
I can fully recommend this location.
We came prepared to find the house and location to be wonderful but it was really beyond even our high expectations. The area is fantastic: the beach, lovely villages, plenty to explore. The only problem was that it was so difficult to convince ourselves to leave Ambrogio's wonderful home. Neighbour/caretakers Walter and Wanda and their family made us feel incredibly welcome. It was really with incredible regret that we drove down the mountain on our last day. Thank you Ambrogio!
This is a truelly astonishing place. We had an amazing week...
This place is amazingly beautiful. Everything the pictures from the website promise is true. We spent wonderful 3 weeks with our children (6 and 4 years and 11 months) there and couldn't be more delighted. The huge garden and the further grounds were perfect for the not so little ones to roam in freely. And even the youngest enjoyed it, checking out grass, insects, trees. Walter and Wanda, who take care of the grounds and house, are so amiable and helpful that it can't be put into words.
The view is breathtaking, the wine great. We found the Conad-Supermarket in Donoratico a good place to shop for all you need including local whine. Another place worth visiting is Enoteca Tognoni in Bolgheri were yummy Tuscan food is served and every Bolgheri whine is sold.
The road up the mountain had been repaired shortly before our arrival, so the journey up and down took us about 20 minutes each direction.
The house is spacious and provides enough room even for 5 adults. If anything is missing, Wanda and Walter can be contacted easily and are helping.
A place to come back to!!
This place is breathtakingly gorgeous. It is remote and beautiful and romantic. It is also very difficult to find. Be sure to translate (if necessary) and print out the directions. The map instructs you to turn right on "Unknown Road" which is a 6km unpaved nightmare. It's not impossible and it should DEFINITELY NOT deter you from staying here but make sure you have a reliable vehicle and a map.
The house itself is amazing. It's modern and clean and unlike anything I've ever seen. Since you probably have a car, be sure to explore the wonderful restaurants, wineries and spas in the neighboring towns. Also we found the DiVaira winery to be a great place to buy wine to enjoy at the house.
Before arriving in "the seventh heaven" one must pass trough te hell: a very bad (off)road: two times a day 35 minutes of stress is not really what you expect from a holliday...
Charmant house, extraordinally garden, beautiful panorama of 360°
Not so much opportunities to cook comfortably,
Internet only with (good) help of personal assistent of the owners, who were themselves not there,
