I am currently a MPH student at Cal State Long Beach. I work as a Graduate Mentor Fellow helping undergraduate students from the Health Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Natural Sciences graduate in their desired field and encouraging them to pursue a higher professions (masters/phd/professional school). I also work on HIV related projects and currently volunteer for AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
Traveling is something I try to do as often as possible. I just recently visited Japan. This year, through school I was able to go to Little Rock, Arkansas- the hometown of President Bill Clinton- for a Health Disparities Conference. Other places I've visited are Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Switzerland, and the UK.
Books that I read on my spare time include those of Paulo Coelho. I also enjoy Vonnegut, and I love autobiographies- most recently I have read the story of Somaly Mam.
