We were really pleased with this booking. Location is great, which we didn’t necessarily appreciate when we booked. In addition to what is mentioned in the listing, the apartment is really close to the High Line, which is a nice walk into Chelsea/Meatpacking District, as well as being close to Circle Line Cruises (recommended for tourists).
The Apartment has a small balcony with great views and the rooftop at the top of the building is fantastic, with brilliant views – would definitely recommend grabbing some breakfast nearby and taking it up one morning and take in the views.
The Apartment itself was clean and comfortable, a bit more spacious than expected, with towels laid out and clear instructions to use the TV. It was easy to pick up the keys from the concierge upon arrival. Gearoid provided clear instructions prior to arrival. Thanks again. I would definitely recommend this booking.
The host canceled this reservation 333 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The booking was too far out, and impossible to determine whether or not we still have possession of the property, or still living in NYC.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend trip to NYC at this apartment. It is in a convenient location (parking and diner directly across from the building) and is a short walk to subway and major attractions. Given it was a 1/3 of the price of hotels in the area for the weekend we traveled in December, it was a no- brainer to stay here. We encountered no difficulty with check in and staff we encountered were helpful. The view from the roof was incredible! Best of all, no signs of critters which is always a concern of ours when staying in NYC. We would stay here again. No issues.
The apartment was really nice, with all the commodoties (gym/pool). it has a really nice rooftop terrace. Gary, the host, was really nice and helpful during the whole time. The location is also great. Just two blocks from the subway and 3/4 from Times Square. It's in Hell's kitchen neighborhood where you can find a lot of nice restaurants. I would definitely come back!
This was our first AirBnB experience, and in New York City as well. Gary could not have been more accomodating. His pre-visit e-mail gave a good overview of the arrival process and instructions for departure. The check-in was easy--the concierge confirmed that we were scheduled to use the apt, and a doorman with a passkey let us in, where we found our own keys. The place was clean, and there was adequate space in closets, dressers, and fridge for our stuff. We took advantage of the great rooftop views and of the well-appointed gym, and the building is set back enough from the street that there is no loud noise coming from below. The location was ideal for us for the restaurants along 9th and 10th Avenues, and the 3 blocks to the closest subway was tolerable, so bringing meals back from some of the excellent food carts around town worked well.
This experience with our first apartment rental was so positive, the cost for value received was so reasonable, that it will be difficult to consider a boring hotel room in the future!
Great place in great location! Gary's place is a few blocks walking distance from all of the shows and a great row of restaraunts. His building has a great office/gym/ounge area and wifi is avail. Gary was a nice host and was prompt with his responses. We would definatley stay at Gary's place again!
Apartment was good everything you need included.Position is about 4 blocks from time square and nearest subway station, view from roof of apartment building is sensational better than empire state or at least it was for us as empire state when we went was zero visibility.Staff in the building were very obliging , a good place to stay.
Gary´s Apartment is a great place to stay. It was very clean and exactly as it looks in the pictures. It´s also a great location very near to Times Square. I really recommend it.
Great experience, great apt, great location!
Many thanks Gary!
1. apartm is o.k
2. location - a bit far from metro station (15 min walking.
3. no closets - 2 closets in the aprtm are chained and locked. (for owner personal things)
4. the worst thing. we arrived to the apartm as agreed at 14:00 for a week staying . we arrive tiered, after 30 hours trouveling. than, the dormen in the entrance didn't allow us entering the apartm. he said that the owner did not give him our names, so he is not allowed let us the key. we tried again and again to phone the owner - but there was no answer.he didn't unswered our pfone calls . we were totally desperated. so we went out looking for another hotel. a moment before bookig a room in pensylvania hotel, the owner suddenly responded the phone and arranged our entrance.. we didn't get no appology no explanation no compensation.
totly irrisponsible behaviour.
we sent our complain to air bnb a month ago. we are still waiting for airbnb response.
Gary was a very good guest, he took care of the apartment, was clean and ready on time for check out.
I strongly recommend him as a guest
Great guest. Easy to communicate with and share the space.
Gary stayed at my apartment for a week and was ultra low maintenance. Everything was left in great order and communication was simple and to the point. Thank you Gary!
Gary was our 1st repeat guest. Nice to have him stay with us again!
We enjoyed having Gary stay with us for a few days. He was quiet, neat, and respectful of space.
