Lotti's apartment is located right at Hermannplatz, which means you can easily travel and access everything in and around Berlin as there as a U-Bahn located under the square. You would expect this might be a bit noisy but luckily Lotti's place is at the back of the main house so it's actually really quiet in her room which makes it the perfect place to get some rest after a long day in the city.
The apartment itself is 100% private, you're not sharing it with anyone so that's a big plus also considering the price you pay. The room featured some really nice items, I loved the amount of amazing plants, books and records she stored. The kitchen was totally equipped and the bathroom had everything you need to refreshing yourself.
I had a very pleasant stay, only downsides worth mentioning are that the room has no curtains (that can be useful especially during summer days) and that it could be a bit cleaner, especially the floor made my feet instantly dirty when i finished showering so I had to wear shoes all the time.. But then again, Lotti's place looks fabulous and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a cheap but nice spot right in the heart of Berlin.
Julia was a phenomenal host! She went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. She even helped me out when I lost my wallet. On top of all of this, she was totally laid back.
As for the flat itself, I cannot say enough about the location. I feel like I lucked out. It's right by the Ubahn, making travel to anywhere else pretty simple. What's more, it's really right in the heart of one of the coolest parts of Berlin, Kreuzkolln. Tons of nice spots right near by (not to mention, the ever enchanting Templehofer Park, a huge abandoned airfield). The interior of the place is very artfully appointed, with tons of personal touches that add character. Also, lots of indoor plants, which is of course a major plus. I would absolutely recommend this flat to anyone looking to spend a some time in Berlin.
Cute little flat, centrally located but super quiet with a nice view into the backyard! Julia prepared everything for my arrival and has been easy to communicate with. I hope to come back soon!
Great charming Berlin apartment at hermannpl; the kind of one that someone actually lives in / is not filled with Ikea furniture.
Aside from its great location (park, food and U bahn on the doorstep), this flat is quiet and comfortable. Only minor problem was that the shower head had to be held by hand, but I'm sure that's fixed by now. I could stay in this flat for a year if the host would let me.
Speaking of host, there was an almond croissant (my favourite) waiting for me when I arrived, and the host replied instantly to any question I had.
Great experience, highly recommended!
It was a great stay in Lotti's place! Super location, you are in the heart of Neukölln, with the U8 you are in Kreuzberg in less than 5 min. and in Mitte in 10 min. Perfect to explore Berlin. Very peacful place and Lotti was amazing, always willing to help in everything she could! I definitely recomend it!!
Julia was a super helpful host and has a great apartment, spacious and very well lit. It's located in a great location and I spent a wonderful week there. Would certainly (and hopefully!) come back to it in the future.
Had an excellent stay at Lotti's apartment. A very peaceful, clean apartment in a great location to explore the vibrant local areas, cafe's and nightlife in a wonderful city.. Lotti is a very kind and friendly host and organized an easy key pick up.
Recommended and I would definitely stay here again!
We stayed for a week in Lotti's apartment and it was just perfect for us.
Lotti is a great host, very easy-going and helpful. She wasn't there when we arrived early in the morning (we met her later during our stay) but picking up the keys was totally hassle-free, there was a letter which answered every question you might ever think of and there even were fresh flowers. The apartment is clean, has a nicely furnished living/ bedroom and you'll find everything you need in bathroom and kitchen.
The location is great as there are very good tube connections from Hermannplatz (3 min walk) to Mitte and you can easily walk or take a train to Kreuzberg.
For drinks, eating out and/or studying hipster culture Weserstrasse is around the corner with lots of cafés, bars and restaurants. But if you want to cook on your own there are also plenty of shops nearby. We definitely recommend this place!
Me and my friend stayed in Lotti's comfortable, fun apartment in July 2012.
Lotti gave us good tips where to eat and so near by. Also she had left some juice, milk, butter and jam in the fridge for us. That was a very nice suprise! The apartment had a beautiful, small record collection and an excellent view from the window, if you love plants climbing walls. We did. Also we loved to listen to Berlin rain. The bed was very comfortable with big, soft pillows. And Lotti was very helpful with us! We also found that around Hermannplatz was really the most interesting parts of Berlin, an empty airport, outdoor Kino etc. The apartment was also peaceful. We are glad to recommend this apartment!
Alles gut gelaufen.
