Consigliato.
Achillo is nice person, he gave us many helpfull direction about Rome:)
Very good location. Apartament was clean but equipment Inside was old and not fresh..
Great positioning in the very centre of Rome: close to Flaminio Underground station, bus and taxi stops, cafes, restaurant and last but not least two supermarkets. Everything in the house worked properly, lingerie came directly from laundry. Achille was a perfect host: very easy to communicate with and, after being advised of our early arrival, he organized cleaning operations to let us checking in at 9:30 in the morning and he was also so kind to let us leave the baggage inside after checkout time. We enjoyed this experience and we definitively would stay again in this flat!
P.S. Be careful: is a third floor without lift and second bathroom ceiling is a little low. Enjoy!
Merci Achille.
Unfortunately, this was the worst Airbnb experience I have had to date - and I use the service almost every week. Despite Achille being a gentleman and being, himself, extremely accommodating when we checked in - the apartment in no way resembles this listing. The apartment is is terrible condition - the door handle comes off the bathroom door, the shower is essentially unusable as the temperature is so inconsistent, the hallway was being used as storage, there was a ladder laying in the bedroom, there was a piece of glass on the floor, etc. There is no WIFI either.
The location of this apartment is ideal; however, the price is far too steep for this apartment, especially in the poor condition it's in. If cleanliness, value and the ability to shower are important to you, I strongly suggest you stay elsewhere.
I worked with Airbnb's resolution center to receive a credit for a part of our stay. It's unfortunate that some Airbnb hosts fraudulently advertise a unit, taking advantage of renters.
We had a great time in Rome in spite of staying at this disappointing apartment. Although it was in a good location and was spacious, the description and photographs on the website were misleading. We contacted both the host, who promptly provided some of the additional items we requested, and AirBandB, who referred the case to a manager. We provided detailed photographic evidence and descriptions of the condition of the apartment and were satisfied with the way AirBandB handled the situation as well as the result. We learned that if we use an AirBandB host again, we may need to ask many more questions about the structure/layout of the apartment, its condition/standard as well as its contents before confirming a booking.
Отличная квартира для тех, кто хочет погулять по Риму, удобное расположение! Все понравилось, рекомендую!
Achille was a good and friendly host; communication with him was very clear during and after the booking process. We arrived and departed late, but with a small fee he accomodated that which was great in this holiday season. We met in front of the apartment building around midnight where Achille gave us some great directions to get us started on our Rome adventure. There was no checkout; which allowed us to stay all the way until our evening flight out departed.
The most important thing to know about this place: location, location, location. Very near to Colosseum, walking distance to virtually all historic sites and everything Rome has to offer; and great links to public transportation should you not want to walk. Great!
Downtown Rome means cobble stones roads means noise, but you will experience that staying in any old urban area.
The apartment itself is functional, but very basic. The pictures on AirBnB are accurate, though I must say when daytime came we were slightly disappointed with the darkness of the place as it only has one small window. The rug in front of the bed is stained and needs renewal, the linens and curtains at minimum need thorough cleaning as I am sure that wil brighten up the place more than the small window can.
There is an electric heater that is sufficient to warm up the entire room in winter; and also the shower has plenty hot water to shower two people comfortably. It is however a sit-down shower (no place to hang the hose). Takes a bit getting used to, but functional. The kitchen works, but there is not an overabundance of usable items in it. Essentials like a water boiler, or even wine glasses were missing.
All in all a good place that i could recommend if you are looking for something basic, functional with a good location - are you looking for something more special; this may not be your place.
This review refers to apartment Corso A on Via del Corso 36, near Piaza del Popolo
Our three days visit to Rome imposed a real lodging challenge as we were a family of 9 people altogether (my wife and I, our 2 children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren). We needed a centrally located apartment which will be large enough and reasonably priced. Corso A successfully met this challenge.
You can hardly expect a better location than Via del Corso near Piazza del Popolo, where most attractions are accessible by foot. The apartment itself is large, both living room and bedrooms. The beds are big and the mattresses are very comfortable. It is well air-conditioned, which for us is a must. Sleeping two couples in the same bedroom is not best for privacy, but we knew it in advance and were willing to compromise, given the size of our group.
Achille seems a nice person. He brought us 3 sets of keys, as we asked for, and gave us a quick useful briefing.
The only negative comments refer to the housekeeping which was unsatisfactory:
The space under the sink&gas surface was full with cleaning materials in a complete disarray "hid" by cheap ugly vertical see through plastic stripes rather than a descent drape. there is no garbage can; The carpet in the living room (different than the one shown in the photos) was dirty and we had to roll it aside; the floor underneath was dirty and a bit sticky and needs scrubbing; the bathrooms' door/windows handles were very loos; the sliding "door" of the shower cell was derailed and the hose in the bathtub was leaking. The lock of the front door is a bit hard to open and once unlocked you have to apply force to break into the apartment.
All these things can be fixed in no time. All it needs is a little attention and perhaps a minor investment. Achille can easily upgrade his property from a very good place into a jewel (and even raise his rates accordingly).
Albeit, the bottom line is we were pleased with Corso A. it helped us enjoy Rome, and we definitely recommend it for travelers.
