4 adults stayed in this apartment from 28th December to 1st January. It was a great apartment. Each bedroom had plenty of room and a private en suite. The location was superb, a 5 minute walk to St Mark's Square, near Rialto Bridge and there were lots of local restaurants available to us for a nice evening meal. Normally we need to spend a night somewhere to feel at home but this apartment was really cosy from the outset and we really enjoyed the location. The weather was pretty cold, reaching -7 but the apartment was always warm as was the hot water so it was perfect for us because one couple had come from Australia!
Overall the apartment rates very highly however there were no kitchen utensils so when one night we had a bottle of wine to open, there was no cork screw which was a let down. The lack of kitchen utensils were not a big problem for us as we ate out but don't book here if you are thinking of self catering properly. The apartment is on the third floor with lovely canal views. There is a lift but it really only takes one person so if you have an issue with stairs just be aware. We were fine as we live in flats anyway so it was a home from home. Overall I would recommend this apartment. The wifi was good, the guy who met us was on time and really friendly so everything worked perfectly which I was so relieved of especially at this busy time of year!
Wonderful little place not far from the train/bus stations. It had everything needed for a long weekend. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Only downside was the weak wifi signal.
Fantastic location. We took a gondola ride and passed beneath the apartment. It was very clean and as described and pictured except the roof terrace was closed for repairs which was a big disappointment. the bathrooms were very modern and roomy and the hot water lasted through four showers each morning. The entrance is on a quiet dead end alley. The kitchen was stocked with sufficient pans and utensils and such but plan to bring your own salt and pepper and anything else that isn't kitchen hardware. It's on the 4th floor but there is a small elevator which was handy for suitcase transport. Rocky was very helpful and left us a second set of keys. There is a 3 euro per person per night room tax that Rocky collected when we checked in.
Rocky; met us at the Rialto Ferry stop and took us for a short walk to the flat.
The flat is spectacular everything we hoped for and more great location in Venice.
There is a great restaurant close called ai Mercanti right great food and right next to the market where you can buy wine cheese fresh bread fresh veggie's etc
San Marco 4346/A Calle dei Fuseri ph: (phone number hidden) web site (website hidden) I am only saying it took us a little while to find our way around hope this helps
The view is great from the roof top balcony. We stayed in the master next to the side canal. Singing every morning from the gondolas passing by if you open your window to listen.
The description was accurate. The apt was lovely, clean, and VERY well located.
Things can be done to improve the guest experience. Had to ask for sufficient toilet paper and towels. Communication with Rocky was difficult. Instructions on apartment would be nice (internet, etc) instead of faint handwritten password on back of router. Only one key available for two couples which made it difficult for two couples to leave apartment at different times. Linens were marginal.
Apartment is in nice location, but total guest experience can be improved. Would be nice to have written recommendations of local restaurants.
The location of the apartment was wonderful and the view from the roof terrace was lovely. Rocky met us as promised and led us to the apartment. It would have been difficult without him, but we soon knew our way around as the apartment is so close to San Marco square. The bedrooms were a good size and both bathrooms were big. We were happy for the elevator to get our suitcases upstairs we enjoyed our experience in Venice. Thank you.
Laura's apartment is located in a very convenient, central location very near Piazza San Marco. It's tucked away off of a little street, so it's not right on a main street, making it tranquil. We were impressed by the rooftop deck -- go get some prosciutto and cheese and enjoy a meal on the deck. The views are lovely and you can hear the gondola men singing and playing accordion. There's a cute cafe near the apartment where you can get espresso and a sandwich for breakfast or lunch.
Rocky, Laura's associate, met us at the Rialto boat stop and walked us to the apartment. It might have been challenging to find, otherwise. The apartment itself was okay, nothing fancy. We came to Venice to spend time outside, not in the apartment, so we really just needed a clean place to rest. For the price, it's a great deal compared to staying in a hotel.
Thank you for your hospitality, Laura and Rocky.
Check in was relatively easy. The apartment was exactly as pictured. While the apartment was on the 4th floor of a building there was a tiny elevator that could fit 2 people snuggly. This was perfect for my parents who weren't about to walk up 4 flights of stairs. The balcony on top had a great view, however, because the deck is quite old there are some gaps between the planks that keys and phones could easily fall through. Also, I wouldn't lean on the railing as it looks quite unstable. Overall, though, it provided a great view of the city and was perfect for having a nice breakfast on. The wifi worked fine and the ac functioned perfectly. The showers were also sufficient.
The location was great. It was pretty close to everything, even though it's hard to be far from things in Venice. The neighborhood also felt quite safe. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back here again.
