I am a scholar, author, avid Iyengar yoga practitioner and classical music lover. I am so glad when people enjoy my place and the bounty of San Francisco. I travel across the globe, mainly to Western Europe and the Middle East, for work and family, but greatly appreciate staying put in the San Francisco Bay Area for its beauty, cultural diversity, and openness.
I live on spectacular Treasure Island, halfway between San Francisco and Berkeley. San Francisco offers a rich art, music, and indie cinema scene, scenic parks and beaches, fabulous fresh produce, small bistros and cafes, and the supreme quality of California wines. Berkeley is the Harvard-Cambridge of the West Coast. Treasure Island itself has the best views of the San Francisco skyline and the Golden Gate, and is outside the dense fog zone. It boasts a bi-weekly flea market, a small marina with a funky bar and grill, wineries, film studios, and music festivals.
I would be happy to direct you to both the must-see tourist sites as well as the hidden nooks and crannies of San Francisco.
