We like to share with others.
We love Japan and would like to return :)
Audrey was a wonderful host! Very pleasant and welcoming. I felt right at home.
The location is wonderful, particularly if you want to see a different part of New Orleans then downtown and the Quarter. Near Maple Leaf Bar, Carrollton Station and Rock n' Bowl (about a 20 block walk). Nice restaurants and plenty of services and the St. Charles Trolley right outside your door. Using transit and our feet, we covered a lot of the city and only took a cab to and from the airport. Didn't see much of Audrey and Thomas but they looked out for our well being and comfort.
I had a wonderful stay with Audrey and Thomas in their Carrollton apartment. They are friendly, engaging and very helpful and I was made to feel most welcome. The private room has a comfortable bed and attached bathroom which is clean and quite functional. The location is excellent-quiet but very close to many restaurants and bars. I took the bus/St Charles street car to the French Quarter and parking was never a problem. Thank you for a great stay in New Orleans!
Great little place tucked away uptown. Thomas home to meet us as arranged and helpful getting our luggage upstairs. Tidy little apartment, private room and bathroom more than meet our needs. Public transport to down town right outside.
Thomas and Audrey very quite but engaging. Didn't feel like we were encroaching their space at any time.
Fab place to retreat to during Mardi Gras.
This was my 18th or 19th visit to NOLA (looking to move there)! It was my first time staying outide of the quarter. I prefer the quarter, but rates were high for Superbowl. The price was very reasonable. Audrey was great at responding back to me right away each time I had a question. The place was pretty clean (but kitchen was not as clean as in photo, but it wasn't a big deal, since I didn't use it). Room was comfortable (air bed), and I liked having my own bathroom. It was cold, so could have used more heat, and key was not working well, but they made accomodations for me for that. I suggested a new key, or changing locks is also a possibility? Thomas helped me from the cab to the place, I had a cab wait for me, so I could get right back to the quarter. The street car runs 24/7, I think, and was safe and crowded each time I used it. It looked like there are a lot of cool things to do there, but I enjoy the quarter a lot. Next time, I will explore this area more, since I will be back for 17 nights in April. They didn't spend any time with me, and I am not sure if that is typical, but either I was running or they were. Maybe if you need more guidance, they show you around, but I am not sure. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and they made me feel comfortable and welcome.
Beatiful location, very well kept, friendly hosts, and great location for the Po Boy Festival.
We had a great stay with Audrey and Thomas in their Uptown apartment!
Private room and (email hidden)enty of hot water and towels etc. Kitchen is equipped to make coffee or cook a meal to share with hosts, which we did :)
There is a nice neighborhood a few blocks away with cafes, restaurants, shops.
Trolley car and bus outside the door. Free parking on the street.
For you jazz buffs, there are 2 jazz clubs nearby....bon temps!!!
I highly recommend this place!! Audrey left us a clean and cosy home, super confortable. I was traveling with a 3 month old baby and it was great!
You get to experience life in NOLA like a local, in a quiet place, with lots of cool restaurants arround. Plus it's a 20 min ride from the French Quarter, and you get to go on the beautifull streat cars.
My husband and I recently stayed with Audrey and Thomas. This location in New Orleans is perfect. You can get anywhere without a car. If you like to bike, you can bike to Audubon Park and the Levee. There are restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The streetcar is right out front which will take you down town, and basically anywhere on St. Charles or if you go in the other direction, you can get to the Canal street car and go to city park.
The room was very clean. Audrey and Thomas work during the day so you have space if you are there. They are kind of quiet so you feel very comfortable with being in the apt if they are there as well.
If you want space in the refrigerator, Audry provides it. You can cook as well if you desire. You can take the street car to Fresh Market on St. Charles if you need to go to a grocery store and do not have a car. If you do have a car which we did, parking is not a problem either.
Highly recommend. Kathy and John, Central Louisiana
Audrey and Thomas are very friendly and helpful during our stay at NOLA -- she has prepared a lot of maps, brochures, and even a small notebook with all handwritten local info on it. The place is clean, quiet, and conveniently located in a lovely neighbourhood (right on the streetcar line and several bus lines!) We enjoyed exploring the cafes, bookshops (the maple street 2nd hand bookstore is a must visit!) and restaurants nearby. We also loved the private bathroom and the free parking on the street. Great city, great people -- we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
We enjoyed having Audrey and her boyfriend stay with us. We hope they enjoyed their time in Los Angeles and would love to host them again when they return.
A very sweet and lovely young couple who brought us full of joy to host them in our beautiful house. They were respectful, sociable, and great fun to chat with. I learned a lot from them. Please welcome them to your house and you will like them as we do. Please come to visit us again!
Audrey and her husband stayed at my place for 1 nights. They were very respectful, quiet, neat and clean as house guests. We had a chance to chat a little bit, which I enjlyed very much. They left room tidy and clean. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed Thomas and Audrey's visit. They were so friendly and nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them. They were clean, quiet, engaging, and we couldn't ask for better guests. Please come back and visit us!
