A New Yorker in Paris for over 29 years, I live in a very cool area of Montmartre on the rue des Abbesses and have an art gallery in my home where I host art openings just about every month.

Home! Intelligent and interesting conversation! Warmth and effort for making it an experience are words that come to my mind for Grace. Right from my booking to figuring out how I can reach to my office, Grace was with me, guiding me and ensuring that I took the simplest routes.
Every morning once she knew I was up, she would go down and get me fresh bakery varieties. Now who would do that?!
Grace ensured simple things like warming the house more than usual as I was coming from India so, that I am comfortable.
The room and the house are exact as the pictures and Grace is an exceptional host. If you want a great place to live in and a beautiful surrounding and yet close to the heart of he city? It's Grace's place. Two metros within 5 minutes walk. Lots of eating places both fine dining and quick bites.
The home is one the third floor so, avoid large suitcases. I guess that stands true for any heritage Parisian home!
Thank you so much for your kind and generous review, Kavea. I wondered if you managed to get a "pain au lait" before the airport, and indeed, if you had a good flight. I hope so. Come back soon!
This is my best Airbnb experience. I was in Paris on business and one of my objectives was to network with people in the tourism trade industry. Grace knows a lot of people in Paris that can help me and introduced me.
The room is quiet facing the inside courtyard. I stayed at 3 different places while in Paris and this is where I had the best sleep. Grace generously provided a breakfast each morning.
The flat is located up 3 flights of stairs and had great views of Montmarte's Rue des Abbesses. It gets lots of light. We watched a parade for the "Scallop Festival" on the balcony. I choose to stay in this neighborhood because of its small town vibe. In many places you'll "walk through paints" of Van Gogh, Picasso or other great artist and see that it hasn't changed. Or take your coffee in the coffee house in the movie "Amelie".
My weekend in Paris was great and Grace was very helpful and her response really quick.. Grace gave me the "tourist" information..what to see and how to go there from the apartment..and she is very kind to gave me couple of tickets.. The apartment is exactly looks like the pictures and remember to travel light (unless you are OK to carry all your luggage up to 3rd floor with narrow stairs.. Just like what I did ;p )
Thank you Grace for your kindness..foie grass and wine..
It was comfortable, convenient and clean. Grace is delightful, and so helpful about how to get around Paris and good restaurants.
Grace's place was great!
Perfect location-safe and charming neighbourhood. The private room was perfect for 1-2 people, shower was separated from toilet - which is nice.
Grace had prepared me breakfast during my 3days stay, toast, croissant, juice and coffee. It was awesome to stay in the artistic living room with street views and enjoy the breakfast. And Grace had an art event on my first night at home and invited me to join. There were a lot of fun.
Thank you so much Grace, it was nice meeting you!
I've stayed in Grace place for 3 days and it was a very nice stay. The room is clean and warm, the building is beautiful. It locates in convenient location, I went to Moulin Rouge in the first night and it just took me 5mins walk in the cold night. There are a lot of nice restaurant near by, I had a dinner in cafe toinette which is highly recommended.
And thank you for Grace's advice I can took the bus 95 and can reach museum louvre directly. I had a very nice trip in Paris and would recommend her place to everyone.
Grace's place was one of the most comfortable places I stayed at during my 2 week stay in France. The room and queen size bed were big enough for me to move around, I appreciated the huge absorbent Land's End towels and breakfast and chat in the mornings. She went down to the local bakery to get a fresh croissant in the morning, how cool is that ?
I liked Graces' place and company so much I've booked twice !
Grace was an absolutely charming hostess. Her flat is lovely. My room was cozy, overlooked a courtyard and I slept like a log on her bed.. The street she is located on is in the middle of a vibrant neighborhood.
Grace has a wealth of knowledge about Paris
and Montmartre with lots of suggestions.
Despite being busy with two artist receptions she hosted in her space, she had plenty of time to help me with advice and a couple of minor mishaps.
Only one minor warning - be prepared to go up 3 flights of stairs plus the French ground floor,
I highly recommend a stay with Grace and I hope to return myself.
It has been a pleasure to host Grace, she is a very nice and interesting person. There is no hesitation in recommending her. Grace, my best wishes for your future trips.
Grace is a very gracious hostess, and the apartment is located in a terrific spot in the heart of Montmartre. The room was very comfortable. I was traveling alone and Grace went out of her way to make me feel welcome, even introducing me to local artists. She helped me map out map out a strategy for a two-day taste of Paris that was just perfect. I strongly recommend Grace's accommodation and will stay there again when I am next in Paris, which I hope will be sometime soon!
I stayed with Grace while visiting Paris at the beginning of June and it was one of the most wonderful, welcoming vacations I have ever had. I was traveling alone and Grace made me feel so at home with her hospitality and beautiful house full of art and warmth. I loved waking up to her art covered walls and delicious local breakfast. The bedroom was quiet, pretty, and cozy with a lovely view of the courtyard.
She also was a good friend to me and introduced me to so many amazing people, took an interest in my recent travels, and gave me pointers on things to go see. Really, she goes above and beyond to make each visit as wonderful and individual as possible. I will definitely be staying with her when I return and will send all my family and friends her way as well. I recommend her to anyone and everyone!
We stayed with Grace a year ago in June, and due to travels, poor internet connections, etc. the time expired for us to write our review. We really enjoyed meeting Grace, and staying in her lovely apartment and wanted to provide our comments, so,have posted, them below.
Immediately upon entering Grace's apartment you know you're in a special place. Grace's lovely apartment features a spacious living room that doubles as an art gallery. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. Grace served us a wonderful breakfast every morning. The apartment is in the center of Montmartre, within walking distance of Sacre Coeur, and amidst lovely artisan shops.
Grace is an interesting, accomplished, caring person whom we enjoyed very much. Grace is well-named; I called her "amazing Grace" and then later my "saving Grace" after she assisted me in finding a doctor when I broke my left foot on only our 4th day! Grace was extraordinarily helpful, making sure I saw a doctor, accompanying us to the hospital when x-rays were indicated, waiting with us for the results, and finally going with us to the clinic for follow up care. Grace even prepared us a more ample breakfast that day, knowing we might need more fortification for the long day ahead.
In short, Grace provides a warm, friendly, comfortable home in the midst of beautiful Paris, and can offer many wonderful suggestions for places to visit!
Thank you, Grace.
Grace and I are now friends after meeting her in Paris. She's one of the most amazing Parisians! Well over 20-25 years in Paris yet retaining all the N.E. USA charm imaginable. If you want to meet Parisians, especially in the arts, you MUST stay with Grace who is at the hub of an incredible network. Her assistance while I was renovating my new apartment were invaluable. My life was enriched meeting her and I hope to build many years on those few days. Thank you, Grace!
Great location in Montmartre!
And she knows where the best bakeries are...
I've know Grace for many years. Her hospitality and charm will want you back in Paris. I recommend her very highly, she knows the language and French culture well. You'll have a great time!
Bedroom in Montmartre; nice place to live.
