Jean was a wonderful host and was very helpful and kind to me. For the price that I paid, I was surprised as the room and amenities were beyond my expectations and worth way more than what I paid.
Jean was kind enough to allow me to extend my stay for 2 extra days from my initial booking and accepted the alteration request. Excellent communication with Jean prior to my arrival, as well as her attention during my visit exceeded my expectations. Jean even picked me up from the train station and dropped me off couple of times at the station as well in her car!
There were some snacks kept in the room, had electric kettle, tea/coffee/sugar/milk so that you can make tea/coffee in the room itself, towels, soap, bath robes, flip-flops, ice pack, etc. that you usually find in luxurious hotels only! The kitchen had microwave, fridge, toaster, etc. and everything that you need to cook. The portable air cooler in the room kept it cool even though it was very hot outside during summer in Adelaide. The house is well maintained by Jean and was clean, neat and beautiful. I had data plan on my phone and tethered it to my laptops; so missing WiFi wasn't much of a problem for me as Optus has 4G LTE signal in the area. Jean also allowed me to watch a cricket match on TV in the living room when I was there.
The location is quiet in a residential area and there is a shopping center at the next station called Noarlunga. If you are OK with spending 45 minutes every time you need to go to the city and back, then the location is fine as there is direct train to the Adelaide railway station and the Christie Downs railway station is just a few minutes walk away from the house. You can get 3 day unlimited travel on Adelaide metro (train & bus) for $25 using the MetroCard Visitor Pass which is available from InfoCentre at the Adelaide Railway station.
I don't know if I will come back to Adelaide in the future as I just came for the Cricket World Cup match at Adelaide Oval; but if I do then I will definitely be back at Jean's place. Thanks so much and God bless Jean!
As my first airbnb experience i wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a very convenient location, right next to the train and not far from the beach. Jean was open and accomodating and the room was perfect, especially for the price!
Jean was a fantastic host and was very accommodating to us. We needed a place to stay for one night as we were making our way to the next town and it was a perfect place suited for our needs.
Jean is a really good and nice host. The home is lovely, not far from a pleasant beach.
The house was lovely and Jean was such a lovely lady as well. The location is a bit far away from the city but there is a metro so it was easy to get around! I enjoyed a lot! Thanks.
An amazing and generous host, Jean gave us full run of the house and was incredibly warm and friendly. She went out of her way to accommodate our arrival timing and was extremely patient with our frequent late returns. She was an fantastic host and we enjoyed the time we spent with her.
Located midpoint between Maclaren Vale, Adelaide city and close to the flerieu peninsula, access by car was incredibly convenient to almost any point within Adelaide. Situated a short drive away from the Noalunga beach and Noalunga central (with accompanying train and bus services), the location is absolutely abounding with amenities.
Highly recommended to anyone seeking accommodation in Adelaide and seeking a taste of life in an Aussie suburb, beaches and fine wines.
had wonderful time at this place. Very clean and tidy.
Absolute bargain! Jean is a very friendly & informative host, she picked me up from the station because I arrived at night. For $15 a night, she is offering an incredible deal that is unmatched in all my years of traveling. Comfy bed, warm & comfortable home, quiet south Adelaide suburb, swimming pool & 20min walk to Christie's Beach & Noarlunga shopping center. Highly recommended if you want something out of Adelaide CBD, dont mind the trains (on time) & need a place to relax, recharge & plan your next step.
Happy to host Jean and would recommend Jean to other host as well !
Jean and her friend were very clean, polite and very nice people.I recommend them as perfect guests and I hope to have them again at our house.
Jean's relatives stayed in this room and were perfect guests!
It was lovely that Jean came back to us and brought her family members with her this time.
She was again a pleasure to host, keeping me informed of her comings and goings and I would be happy to host her again
Jean is a lovely lady who obviously has an adventurous spirit as she is here from Australia and travelling around the country to see different friends and family. I was happy when she decided to book again in a few days time and bring her family with her this time!
An absolute gem of a guest - Jean is so easy to have staying with us - so interesting to talk to and happy with everything we provided. Being an early riser (jet lag?), Jean organised her own breakfast and by 8am, was ready for her day! The perfect guest!
Jean is a lovely lady and we enjoyed having her as our guest.
A delightful guest. If we are ever in Southern Australia we will look you up! Always welcome in our home if back in the UK and Cheltenham :)
