A little off the beaten path. Good value, would stay there again. Stayed in the main house with hosts. Private room with bath down the hall. The hosts, Phil and Ana, we're just wonderful folks. Secure parking for motorcycles.
Had the BEST time at Phil's Country Home. Phil and Anna were the greatest hosts and made me + my girlfriend + my dog feel so welcome. They made us a fantastic dinner and a great pancake breakfast. Their house was perfectly remote and our room was cozy. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. HIGHLY recommend.
This working studio/home of two successful Northern Cal. painters offers plenty of room, many paintings in various stages of completion, lots of friendly dogs and cats, and warm friendly hosts. Enjoy your morning tea or coffee on the deck overlooking garden, and grassland. Sleep away from city noise, with good bed, and muffins when you wake up!
The ideal first AirBNB experience for me. Phil and Ana are fascinating and welcoming hosts. They made the stay feel much more like visiting old friends and in that way capturing the sense of discovery and adventure that has disappeared from most travelling. I hope to stay there again.
What a delightful guest! Phil stayed here several days while he was at the Gift Show. He liked our Gaia room and was a great guest to meet and talk with about his artwork and farm. He paints incredible cards that we now will frame and hang. They're that gorgeous. One of the paintings he reproduced on a card is of his llama!
Phil didn't bring a doggie pal, though he has several at home. And what a dog lover he is! Our human guests have choices as to how to interact with our doggie guests. We are in a three story house plus yard, so a stay in the Evelyn Room with breakfast in the kitchenette can be completely out of the dog traffic. But Phil stayed in Gaia and ate in our dining room, with doggies surrounding him. Everyone was happy and he found some new doggie friends.
Phil was neat and communicated well about house rules, food, doggies and services. We hope to see Phil and Anna again we'd love to host them if they come back to the City.
Loved it with you & your staff and family. Miss the dogs...my 8 now seem like such a small crowd at breakfast! Miss you all.
Phil and Ana were fabulous guests, I would love to have them visit again anytime. I highly recommend them. They were relaxed, kind, thoughtful, interesting and fun to talk with. They were so sweet to my pets and to me. They were extremely low maintenance and left the room and bathroom immaculate. They also very sweetly left me some seeds to plant and some gorgeous cards of their own art. While we were sitting and chatting, Ana painted the most luscious looking mango...even a fruit fly could not resist it. It was like meeting up with old friends.
Phil is a very thoughtful person, and wonderful to have as a guest. He really made himself at home, which not everyone is able to achieve in such a short time. I'm glad he did.
