World Traveler and from San Francisco California. I arrived in Arles married an Arlesien and love it here!! I am an artist and paint most of the day! I just adore the Provence, its Culture, food, wine and find the area enchanting. Les Baux, Fontvielle, Paradou are all within 10 minutes, as is St Remy de Provence, Avignon is a bit further. I know all the secret hideouts( that I will share with you) and take photos almost every day in town ( we have a bus stop smack dab in front of our home and are only " minutes" out of the downtown area. It is always nice to have a breather from the city; If you have a car, I know of all the secret places that you can safely park ! As to the surrounding towns. We are very close to the Camargue and it's wild horses and flore and faune. This area is a source of inspiration that I have never tired of! Au contraire!! I am looking forward to meeting guests and speaking English as I do miss that very much. We have the blue Museum with a hugh roman ship that was just discovered in the rhone. Fabulous and endless history to share!
Most of my family live in Australia now and that is so far! Australia is my second home now . I am fortunate to live and love 2 such beautiful parts of the world!
looking forward to meeting you , now as a host and always as a traveler.
I especially enjoy having access to the annual RIP Les Rencontres Photo as they enrich the town with interesting photographers from around the world . As arlésiens , passes are good July to Septembre . Ambiance in Town is guaranteed ! I try to attend every one .
