Professional living in Edinburgh
A terrific host and a beautiful home. Thanks so much for having us stay. We both felt very much at home.
Lynsey is a very friendly and helpful host. Her apartment is beautiful and very clean. There are also very good local amenities. Overall, it was a great experience living in her apartment. Very pleased.
The room was very spacious and comfortable! Lynsey is such a nice host, really kind to accept us on the last minute!
The flat is so cute and well located. Highly recommend!
What a lovely and charming flat in the quiet part of Edinburg. I loved all the fine touches, the views were so lovely day or night. I watched TV late at night but the living room with its high ceilings and crown molding that it was lovely just sit and watch the rain with tea. Lynsey has the sweetest flat. Situated in a nice neighborhood, be sure to just enjoy a walk or run through the streets.
No wifi access but the most quaint walk around a historic Corstorphine Church, by the library and roundabout over to The Original Coffeee Bean was just the way to start the morning, she loves her customers and the hot chocolate is Bueno! The Turk's Head Barbershop had a really cute barber who along with his customers waved hello every morning with a grand smile. I got really cold one day and just by Turks Head was a thrift store were I found a scarf, mittens & hat all brand new for 5 pounds.
Free wifi in the pub downstairs& almost any pub with signup on iCloud. Catch a game with the locals and share the passion. Tescos was were I got groceries and Wifi at the cafe Your not far from a busy street that lead to the Zoo and buses. The pubs and Edinburgh Castle are just a bus away and take pictures because the ride goes past some amazing architecture!
The Hardrockcafe on George street, unlike USA Hardrock, has a bartender there that makes you feel welcomed and tells you good history factoids. Staff is also great. I came in late and Lynsey didn't mind.
Stay here and wake to a soft morning in sleepy Corstorphine high. The bus 26 Edinburgh/Princess St. £1.40 is a breeze to catch by Lynseys, the commuters are helpful and friendly giving me tips. Go to Waverly Train Station for fun. I took the train to London and it's nice to view the country.
Lynsey gave me two towels that were thick and appreciated for my thick hair, I cooked in the kitchen and I adored all the fine fashion & design simplicity of her flat down to the cups. I slept in a lot because I was so comfy. My room was far enough from Lynseys so I felt like I had privacy. Clean, fresh & nice hot shower. Like any place in Europe you'll need your conversion plugs for charging you electronics & an umbrella.
I did have heavy luggage but lynsey helped me take it up two flights of stairs easily. I came in late after missing a flight and she was extremely helpful. I did laundry and the drying racks were fine.
Lynsey is smart and so pleasant. I enjoyed our talks. She communicated everything in a timely fashion and was concerned for my welfare.
Your gonna like it;)
Response from Lynsey:
Thank you Marie! I hope you are enjoying the rest of your travels! Lynsey
Lynsey is a great host. Easy to communicate with and flexible with check in times. Close to the airport and close to the centre of Edinburgh. When we need to stay in Edinburgh again we will look up Lynsey.
Great stay at Lynsey house. Room was ample and comfortable. Location is good with several buses running until late in night. Really easy to agree on check in and out times.
We had a wonderful stay with Lynsey. It was short, but she was a lovely host and hope to return someday to spend more time in Edinburgh.
Lynsey was very accommodating and understanding. It felt like we were staying with a friend of a friend, so it was comfortable. Her flat is lovely.
The room was very spacious and clean. Downtown Edinburgh was easily
Accessible by many bus lines, which were about a 3 minute from the flat. Would definitely stay here again.
