I live with my husband in a quiet welcoming house in the most vibrant part of Sheffield - near the centre, universities, the Hallamshire hospital and Children's hospital, restaurants and great parks. We are close to Ecclesall Road with it's very frequent buses into town and it's vibrant cafe scene.
We are round the corner from Sheffield Botanical Gardens with its beautiful glass houses and delightful cafe. We're welcomed guests into our house for many years and enjoy sharing our local knowledge.
Sheffield is a little known gem of culture.
(Sheffield people love their city!) We have excellent theatres, cinema and music and very easy access to beautiful Derbyshire walking and rural attractions such as Chatsworth House. We can be on the hills in 15 minutes from our door either by car or by public transport.June and July are packed with music and cinema festivals.I would recommend this city as a great place to spend some time.
I work from home as a craniosacral therapist and John works part time with adults with learning difficulties. We have recently acquired a beautiful cat called Crumpet who is still quite shy and kept downstairs. We also spend time with our grandchildren who often visit so we have a child
Our house is within walking distance of the University of Sheffield,Sheffield Hallam University the Hallamshire Hospital and the Children's Hospital. In fact many of our guests have been academic visitors or parents visiting their student offspring.
