Staying at Carolyn's place was our first Airbnb experience and it was fantastic! The room was beautifully furnished and Carolyn had provided many luxury amenities that I hadn't expected (toiletry items, a TV, a fantastic breakfast etc). I would highly recommend Carolyn as a host and her beautiful ensuite room for your next stay.
Very nice private room detached from the house with a little shower room, Lovely and cosy in February. Nice Quite neighbourhood with a little takeaway thats just down the road. Carolyn was very friendly and left us to it, but provided tea, coffee, water, biscuits and cereal. All in all a lovely place to stay, not to far from leeds but still nice and peaceful
Carolyn was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help, as I was staying most of the week. The room is small but has everything needed, and it is great to have that bit of privacy away from the family home. Cosy little home from home. Thanks Carolyn
Carolyn is certainly a five star airbnb host! Huge thank! Carolyn warned us about the weather to ensure we won't compromise on comfort and welcomed us very warmely. The annex is beautiful, the room and en-suite facilities exceed expectations! Very cosy and to a high standard! Pitty we stayed only one night as we miss it already!
No wonder everyone raves about how welcoming Carolyn is - she really makes you feel at home.
It's en suite at a lower cost than most rooms with a shared bathroom. The space is bijoux, so watch out when moving around - it's very easy to bump into the corners of the bed. It's warm and comfortable enough, with a tiny fridge for your milk (which Carolyn supplies) and the addition of tea/coffee making stuff is really welcome. Everything worked when I was there - the wifi router needed a reboot (don't they all, from time to time) and it was warm and clean.
It took me exactly 30 min to get into Leeds city centre in morning rush hour, so very handily placed if that's where you're wanting to be - but don't want to pay Leeds accommodation prices.
My Garmin satnav took me to the opposite end of Micklefield but Carolyn was kind enough to wait outside to wave me in when I called her for more precise directions.
Probably best suited to the solo traveler, due to the compact space, if you're staying for a while.
Nice and quiet too, for a good night's sleep.
Staying here is like having your own little chalet. It's a cute little room with it's own bathroom, all separate from the main house. Everything is so quiet and peaceful and you feel hidden away. The bed is comfortable enough, and there's good wi-fi in the room. The bathroom is a little poky but perfectly sufficient. We met Carolyn briefly and she was very friendly, you need only ask her for anything you might need, and she'll likely let you use the kitchen if she's home (though we didn't take advantage of this). The place is about 11 miles out from Leeds but we found it to be a decent base for the couple of nights we were here.
Had a very good time in Micklefield. Carolyn and Chris were very accomodating. The appartment was small but comfortable. I would stay there again no worries. A good experience.
Lovely host, lovely room. Great overnight stop, thanks Carolyn!
Just stayed one night as a stop over heading back to London. The space was a great little cottage, super cute.
Carolyn was fantastic and made us feel very welcome in-spite of us getting lost en-route and not turning up until 11:30PM! She still came out to greet us and say hello, very impressive and thank you Carolyn. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and we loved the fact that we were independent of the main house so a much more private situation for us and the hosts. Good conversations and help with the surrounding area alongside much needed directions!
Excellent value for money, could not have expected more and would use again.
