Nice and friendly stay in a great area. All best christian
Thank you Christian. Best wishes to you and your family.
Julie made me feel very welcome and was very flexible when I asked her if I could arrive early to rest before my meetings. The room was warm and the bed really comfortable. She brought me tea when I arrived and the next morning I had some of the finest coffee I've ever tasted, during breakfast and really enjoyed hearing about her work and family and life on Portobello Road. My first airbnb experience was very positive. Thank you Julie!
Thank you Claire.
It was a pleasure to meet you.
Me and my girlfriend stayed at Julie's for four nights, and we really enjoyed our stay.
The room is just as described - light and spacious. The location is perfect, and it's easy to get downtown and back (3 min walk from Ladbroke Grove station, good bus connections). Also, the area around is full of life.
As a host Julie is very helpful. We had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, and Julie let us borrow her computer to find what we needed. On the last day we were allowed to leave our luggage in the apartment after check-out time, as our flight left late in the evening.
The apartment in itself is very charming and cosy, but if you need things to be spick and span this might not be the right place. For us it was completely unproblematic, and we enjoyed being in an apartment with visible signs of life.
Julie has two very affectionate cats, which only adds to the general charm of the house.
We will definitely check the availability at Julie's the next time we go to London!
A comfortable, spacious & light room - the photo is a true representation. Julie was a friendly, relaxed host, and the house is charming. The kitchen was fairly messy, but Julie had had friends staying for New Year, so the mess was understandable! Great Notting Hill location. I'd stay here again any time.
Julie was a very friendly and welcoming host. We arrived a bit earlier than planned, but the room was already prepared. The house is classic Notting Hill - full of charm and character, and decorated with some of Julie's art. Lots of great places to eat nearby, including the wonderful Thai Rice Restaurant which is just across the road.
Thank you Dylan. It was a pleasure to meet you.
The apt is situated right smacked in the middle of Portobello Market (near Ladbroke Grove Tube) but it wasn't noisy or too busy. It will be like stepping into a fairy tale when you enter the house - whimsical! But do travel light as the room is situated at the 4th floor of the apt & no lift. The bed is comfortable. Julie is a very responsive & pleasant lady who respects privacy.
Love staying at Julies. She's a lovely host and her place is so cute. This is my second time and I'm definitely booking with her next time I'm in London.
Thank you so much Negin. Look forward to seeing you again!
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The location was great, Portobello road is very alive, the nearest tube station was Ladbroke Grove (Hammersmith and City line) and was 7 minutes walking from her house. The room was tasteful decorated, on the fourth floor. There wasn't any time for me when I arrived because she was busy with her work. Only before I left there was some time for a chat. There were several others in the house who rented rooms and partially lived there. It wasn't a very organised household. It felt like a students dorm. But use of everything was possible. The picture is not the way the house looks now from the outside. If you look for this picture you won't find it!

First time in airbnb. Clean and large room. Julie is a very nice host. Lovely community.
Thank you Brian. Very nice to meet you.
Julie is the very embodiment of a sunny disposition. I couldn't meet but we shared a few jolly texts to arrange the visit . Behind the light hearted manner, though, is the mind of a very self-starting, highly organised and adventurous individual. It's very straight forward planning with someone who knows five days in advance what train they are catching - not always the case with airbnbers. Good reports coming in from the locals here too.
