It was a wonderful experience. Anne (Jane's mom) welcomed us very warmly. The room was perfect, very comfortable, clean, and authentic. Anne prepared us a delicious breakfast in the morning in a very nice dining room. Hope to come again.
We had A wonderful stay at Janes place. Her mother Anne is A very nice and csring hostess and we felt just like home.
Ann (Jane's Mother) is the best host ever. She is nice, interesting, cooks delicious breakfast and knows a lot about what to see and do in the area.
Her house is just wonderful, and you can see that Ann used to work in art and design from the beautiful decoration everywhere inside, it feels so cosy and confortable.
Finally you're close to lots of hikings, lakes, attractions and scenic byways !
Wonderful host!! Full of great information! Breakfast was lovely and the coffee is excellent!
Fabulous house, well maintained and spotlessly clean, located within a short drive of the best Franconia notch has to offer. The guest room is very comfortable. Check out The Common Man restaurant in Ashland, about 20mins from the house. The best thing by far about this listing is the most amazing host. Thank you Anne and thank you Jane for a wonderful introduction to New Hampshire. Matthew & Bronagh (Mary)
We stayed at the nice old farmhouse for three nights. We felt really as being at home. Jane's mother hosted us so friendly. She is a friendly and open minded person so we liked to talk with her. She gave nice hints what to see in the region
Anne was such a wonderful host and amazing woman. Her knowledge of the area and help offering suggestions based on what we wanted to do was fantastic. She made us feel right at home and her breakfasts were yummy ! We look forward to delightful conversations with her and stayed an extra day because we felt so comfortable. The surrounding area was an amazing array of fall foliage hiking, eating, and boating. We will return!
A lovely little farm house, cozy sleep and yummy breakfast. Jane was not there, but Anne shared her interest and knowledge in painting and historic houses, good places to hike and to visit in the area.
A beautiful house! Super clean room and bathroom! Ann is such a charming host! Breakfast was like in heaven and we really enjoyed our two nights at the farm. A memorable stay - thank you so much Ann!
All the very best
The guideline for the reviews is were we made welcome, description accurate and the location? Well the welcome was wonderful, the house is wonderful, (we haven't checked the description, because it doesn't matter now), - it's a beautiful house with beautiful furniture and décor. Breakfast was always fresh, with natural foods and little surprises sometimes that were a delight
Speaking of delight, the very best of this home was Anne, our host. She is what makes the place special. Talented, artistic, inquisitive of life, knowledgeable .... and ageless :). Will talk enthusiastically about almost any subject if you like conversation. Otherwise, there is plenty of private space to settle down with a book or watch a little tv.
As regards the location, we found it was perfect as a base for exploring and hiking the White Mountains, the towns and villages and the lakes to the south. The region is surprisingly compact and we found that staying longer in one place rather than the hassle of moving on really did work. We hiked to Lonesome Lake, drove to Mount Washington, had a great bar dinner in Woodstock. Beautiful area.
That was our stay. We arrived tired and left happy and refreshed.
Special place. Special memories.

Jane, her friend and two young children were a pleasure to host! They were quiet, polite and left our Tompeca Cottage like they'd never stayed in it! Would recommend Jane to any potential renters.
