Originally from the Chicago area but now I call Sayulita my home. I have the best job in the world, being the host for my guests at Villa Casa Terramar and sharing this magical town.
Come and visit.....cold cervezas will be waiting.

Our stay with Beth consisted of 7 days in her one bedroom casita!
Beth was a great host and helped us book travel from the airport as we pick up groceries for our stay.
Communication was great and she met us on arrival to welcome us and answer questions. Her place is just as described and is a wonderful place to kick back and enjoy Sayulita! We had the use of beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards and the pool is great after a hot day out an about.
We would definitely stay here again!
I rented the Casa and one of the Casitas on this property for a week and filled them with friends. It is located at the top of a hill which gets quite steep as you approach the house, but it's a short walk to town and we appreciated the exercise. (You can eat very well in Sayulita. Too well.) There are a lot of stairs. It's sort of like an M. C. Escher painting. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated. Mine was a quiet refuge. The sounds of roosters and dogs are part of the background music that I've come to expect and enjoy in developing countries. And sometimes we could hear actual music echoing off the hills from the town. The best view is from the top floor.
There is a reason that so many of the reviews describe Beth in superlatives. Beth is a dream. She is a calm and happy presence, there to help or advise people when they need her; otherwise, she leaves you to yourselves. Sayulita is small enough that we ran into her a number of times which was fun. It's a pretty little town with great beaches and lots of gringos. We rented a jeep and explored the coast. It was a great week.
My family and I had a great stay in Beth's Casa Terramar in Sayulita. Although Beth was out of town for our arrival, she let us know that her friend would be letting us in and they were both in great communication with me ahead of time. Sayulita is a wonderful, less touristy beachy destination. Beth was a friendly, helpful, and attentive host. Thanks, Beth!
We had a really nice stay at Casa Terramar this past week. The place was clean, stocked with beach-gear, and well maintained. It was perfect for our family of four (mom, dad, boys 8 and 12). We thought about renting a golf cart for getting around town, but figured our walks up and down the hill (many per day!) helped us burn off the calories we consumed on our taco and paleta crawls through town. We would definitely recommend Beth's house and if/when we return, we'll look to stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay in Beth's Casita. The photos are very accurate; what they can't capture are the super comfortable bed, the cleanliness of the unit, the safe feeling of the property, and the slightly humid tropical air that smells and feels like magic. Being a plant lover, I was especially happy to be surrounded by lush greenery, blooming euphorbia, and draping bougainvillea. On several nights, we watched the sunset from the upper level deck. We arrived at night and I was very pleasantly surprised to see the views the next morning. The pool was the icing on the cake, which is clean and well maintained.
Beth is a friendly and totally accessible host. She made some great recommendations for restaurants and activities (like whale watching!) that helped make our vacation that much more special. Ruby the red dog is very sweet and we enjoyed the time we spent with her.
This was my first trip to Sayulita, and I feel very lucky to have landed such a great place!
Thank you, Beth!
I enjoyed my stay at Villa Casa Terramar. I was in Sayulita for a wedding and the accommodations were exactly what I needed. It was a short walk to the event, to town, and to the beach. The room was nice and Beth was a great host.
We loved Casa Villa Terramar, it was the perfect accommodation for us in Sayulita. The suite was clean, comfortable and perfectly appointed, with attention to the smallest details. It was a great combination of tourist comforts in an authentic Mexican setting. Beth was a wonderful host, very helpful when we had questions or needed something at the same time giving us lots of privacy. She went above and beyond to make our trip extra special. Casa Villa Terramar was the perfect distance to town, and the climb up the hill counted as our exercise for the week, compensating for the cervesas, fish tacos and choco-banana indulgences in town. We loved the open style kitchen and covered terrace style living room. The pool was great, very quiet for a relaxing day kicking around the villa. And Ruby the dog was a lovely hostess also. Casa Villa Terramar - we will be back!
Beth is a wonderful host and invited my daughter and I to experience baby turtle release. It's a bit of a climb up the hill (gringo hill) and short 10 minute walk to beach - but lovely views and quiet. Slightly difficult for taxi drivers to find so be sure to tell them first right as you enter town at the beginning of the meridian. Thank you Beth - you are wonderful!!
The house is very comfortable. Ideal place for planning out the day's activities or for just taking it easy and relaxing by the pool. The view from the top deck is pretty nice, too. At night especially you get a middle of the jungle feel even though you're right on the edge of town. Beth was a great host, friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely look to stay here on future trips to Sayulita.
oh my goodness. i had such a wonderful experience here. I originally was booked for the 1 bedroom villa that Beth has, however i ended up being upgraded to the 2 bedroom upstairs because Beth mentioned there was a little construction on the property and i would be further away from it in this place. Well the construction was not an issue for me, and the villa was beautiful and amazing. Beth was extremely attentive and her passion for doing this work is so clear and wonderful. Her dog Ruby and I bonded and I was very sad to leave. We spent one amazing thunder and lightening filled evening snuggling while Ruby waited for the storm to pass to be able to go back out again. Anyway- the place was wonderful, a perfect way to spend 10 days in Sayulita. and the pool! we went during the super hot season- in september- and honestly we spent A LOT of time in that pool. we would sometimes jump in on our way to town just so we could cool off a bit for the walk down. I loved the being able to watch the storms over the ocea from our open aired room - and coming from San Francisco where we see lightening maybe once a year- it was quite spectacular. we had a wonderful time and absolutely would rent again from Beth. what a great experience.
Beth has been my host at Terramar a number of times. She's not only an attentive and conscientious hostess but also has introduced me to a number of Sayuleros who have become very good friends. She knows all the best local restaurants and tourist service providers. She's knowledgeable about the surrounding area (towns, beaches, markets, interesting sites, festivals). Her ability with Spanish and knowledge of the local culture give her a big advantage over many other property owners. I've stayed in both the Casita and Casa Terramar and have been very pleased each time. Both units are comfortable and well designed for Mexican resort life, and Beth keeps them up to high international standards. The pool (large and deep) is kept extremely clean and fresh. The landscaping/garden fits perfectly with the house and the surroundings. Perhaps Beth's greatest strength is her sensitivity and response to guests' wants--whether they want to socialize and meet other people, seek adventure, relax quietly by the pool or on the beach or anything in between.
Beth is not only an awesome person, she is a gracious and mellow host. I stayed at Villa Casa Terramar for a week and cannot wait to return. Beth's place exudes relaxation and rejuvination. If you find yourself near Puerta Vallarta you should find the nearest bus to Sayulita and Casa Terramar. You may never leave!
