Cècile is a very nice host. She was there to receive us. Because we arrived late, we could not meet the same day, but she visited us next day. She speaks good English and made us feel at home. Listing was exactly as described. Location is very close to metro station, restaurants and supermarket. Placed just one metro station away from the international bus station.
The reservation was canceled 13 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Cécile's apartment is quiet, stylish and big enough for two people.
It is very close to the metro station and has an excellent and fast wifi connection. The sofa-bed is comfortable and full of all you can need for cooking, washing clothes,...
There are some boulangeries near the apartment where you can buy great croissants.
Cécile also recommend us nice places around the apartment to eat and to go to listen some live music.
For non-smokers, it is important to know that the apartment smells a little to tobacco.
This flat was the secret ingredient to a perfect 10 days in Paris. The decor is just right and makes you feel like you're in a thoughtfully curated home - it's so much nicer than a hotel room. The kitchen is impeccably outfitted with everything you need. The area is great - an amazing market two days a week plus a good bakery and other essentials nearby daily. Steps from the metro. Even the shower has good water pressure. Cecile was a friendly and very accommodating host and I will definitely try to stay here again if I come back to Paris! I ended up in Paris unexpectedly so I wound up doing a combination of a lot of work and a lot of sightseeing, and this apartment was the perfect base - internet worked without a hitch and plenty of room and light for work, plus a great place to come home to after a day of walking the streets of the city.
Cecile's place is very nice! It is cute and well-decorated as well as comfortable. The building is right next to a metro stop so travel is very easy. Cecile is a very nice host as well, was available for anything we needed and made sure we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend her.
Cecile was a lovely host!. She was away when I arrived and made arrangements for her maid to let me in. It worked out great. I had everything I needed to have a comfortable and happy two weeks in Paris. It's a sweet place, full of art and reflects her fun and interesting lifestyle. We did meet when she returned and she answered my questions and showed me how to use the TV and the washing machine. If she had not been so busy coming back to her job after her vacation, I would have loved to have met her for coffee to get to know her better. She was kind and helpful and the apartment was lovely! I would definitely stay there again!! Thanks Cecile!
Cecile's apartment is a lovely place to stay, very warm and well equipped. The separate kitchen, bathroom and toilet makes it seem even bigger. It's nice to have a courtyard to look out onto and the main room is nicely decorated with various art and nick-nacks. It's really close to bakeries, grocery stores, post office and the metro. Cecile was quick to respond and helpful with providing directions. I would stay again. :)
My boyfriend and I had such a great time staying at Cécile's flat in Paris! Prior to our arrival, she was very helpful in providing instructions and responding to e-mails and she even met us on the day we arrived to make sure we were comfortable. The flat is in a beautiful, safe, quite neighbourhood with all the essentials: metro around the corner, bakery a few doors down, post office down the street, grocery stores around the corner as well, and a friendly cafe/bar a short walk away. Since eating in Paris is a bit pricey, it was great having a kitchen! Staying in her flat really made us feel at home in Paris!
Great little place with lots of charm. Literally a minutes walk from the metro, lots of cafes and shops nearby. The apartment was well equipped with everything you need. Cecile was very accommodating and helpful with finding a time to meet us. Overall a great stay and would recommend to anyone.
Wonderful small apartment in a very cosy area. I stayed for almost a week with my son and we were very happy about the place.
We really enjoyed the neighborhood! Unlike other very touristy areas of Paris with big shops and lots of traffic, this area has a wonderful "local feeling" with small shops and cafes and a quiet but busy daily life.
The apartment is vey well located just a few steps away from the metro Porte de Bagnolet (1 minutes walk), a delicious sushi-bar just across the street (also with take away), a bakery with great bread and cakes, a supermarket, vegetable shops, cafees etc. There are public bicycles a block away.
You can take a nice evening stroll in the greenish and romantic cobblestone streets up hill with small houses - also just a few steps away from the apartment.
Saturday and wednesday there is a small market on the square just outside the metro with vegetables, cheese, sausages, fish etc.
The apartment is clean, cosy and with everything you'll need. High speed internet via wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom with bathtube and a comfortable bed. It is also very nicely decorated with a great "spirit" :-)
Cecile was an outstanding host. She responded promptly and provided us with all kinds of useful information before arriving. We arrived very late in the evening, and she was there waiting for us - and she had even bought a pizza for us thinking that we would be hungry!
Since the apartment is located in the 20th arondissement (the ourskirts of central Paris), we spent a lot of time in the metro going and coming back, when we wanted to go to sights and places in the more central part of Paris. But the place and area was really worth the travelling :-)
I can warmly recommend Ceciles lovely place to anyone going to Paris and I'll not hestitate booking the place again myself next time.
The perfect guest, Cécile is welcome back to Hackney any time.
I happy to write a recommendation about Cecile (even if it's also strange!!!) because I've known her for something like 10 years and she is a great friend of mine. She is someone you can trust 100%, very open minded, we've done a lot since we met. When I moved is Paris she was there to help, but also to party, to visit the city, exhibitions or doing things "for q change". As she is committed in associations, she always have an ear for my ecofriendly advice.
Well hard to describe someone if few words, but I'd just say it worthy meeting her!!
