I'm half Thai and half British. Born in Bangkok and grew up in the UK. Currently living in Bangkok and working ridiculously long hours at a radio station as Editor-in-Chief and news anchor in an English news room.
I have had a variety of careers so far, a waitress, journalist, cabin crew, restaurant manager, sales manager, hotelier, and now ... general everything (and sometimes headmistress/nanny) in a news room.
I have a passion for food and used to dedicate a great deal of time to cooking. These days, however, time is somewhat a luxury so I love to eat out and enjoy trying out new places around town.
I love travelling but not particularly adventurous. As much as I enjoy seeing new places, I don't like travelling alone and often miss out as I have to wait around for my buddy to have the same availability. Having said that I have gotten around the world a wee bit over the years. My favourite destinations are India, Australia and Japan. I've also been to Hong Kong, Singapore,Taiwan, the Phillipines, Korea and Italy, but the US and India are where I keep gravitating back to. Five visits to the US over the past 20 years and 2 visits to India in 8 years ! My last trip States-side was in May 2012. On my list of countries to visit are Egypt, Morocco, Dubai and Spain.
An avid reader only up until recently, sadly I'm finding it harder and harder for some free time to pick up a book. My favourite genres are historical novels and vampiric tales. I used to think that there are too many books in this world that I'd like to read but won't have the time to as life is so short. Now I believe that life is even shorter than I thought !
Hmmmm, the five things I can't live without? I guess just clean underwear .... everything else I can just wing it to get by :)
My life long desire is to become a published author while managing a unique B&B establishment somewhere picturesque.
I've had very positive experiences with Airbnb. Great accommodation, location and wonderful hosts.
