Hi, welcome to London! Please get in touch with me if you wish to come and stay, or if you have any questions!
Lola's house is very nice for a short stay in London, especially for people on a budget. It's not the most modern of accommodation on the list, but it is very charming. The small garden and colorful rooms give a nice atmosphere. We struggled a bit with the towel rack in the bathroom, and the shower tap is not working very well, but there were no major problems otherwise. A toaster in the kitchen would be a fantastic addition too ;-) The bus connections are excellent night and day, and there are also 2 convenient metro stations about 10 minutes walk away. Paco has been very helpful to organize collection of the keys. I would definitely stay there again on a next trip to London.
Nice apartment. Very spacious and clean. Bathroom and kitchen were very clean - very appreciated. Very good location, close to many major bus lines and a Metro station. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores around. Bad sides - apartment appeared old, but you are in an old city. Appliances were updated. Host was nice, although had some trouble with contact. After contacting Airbnb, they settled the problem. In a safe area, you just have to be cautious, as in everywhere you go. Have to be aware of surroundings. I would recommend it if you are not expecting a 5 star hotel. It is good for its price. Bad side - it was noisy, can hear the footsteps of upstairs neighbors and stairs creaking. It didn't bother but if you are a light sleeper, consider that. That is out of control of the host though.
Great house and would definitely recommend staying here for a visit to London. Lola is a great host and Paco was very helpful.
The house was great! Bigger then it looks in the picture - and a perfect place to stay for your trip in London! Public transport is great from the area and only 5minute walk to the bus stop. Highly recommend!!!
Overall good value. Apartment is bit tired but guess that's reflected in the price so no complaints and would stay there again.
Lola and Paco are very friendly and we had a warm and friendly welcome. It is nice to have experienced a real London house!
The house is located somewhat far away from the nearest tube (elephant and castle) and the nearest bus stops are mininmal 10 minutes walk. But by bus you are within 30/40 minutes in the centre of London, which is fine.
The house itself was fine for a citytrip and everything we needed was there, though it was quit noisy (we could hear the neigbours coming home and singing).
To conclude we had a good citytrip and Lola’s house was a fine place to stay.
A really cool and small house in Southwark. The bus stop, the supermarket, a local pub and lots of restaurants are just a five minute walk away. We had a great stay and would definitely go back!! The house has everything you need and therefore makes a perfect home from home. Definitely recommended.
My boyfriend and I stayed in Lola's apartment for 4 days. We had a few problems getting in touch with her and then her friend Paco to arrange check-in, but once we were in we found her apartment comfortably fit our needs, though a bit of a trek from the city center. Finding affordable lodging is difficult in London and Lola's apartment is a great place for those trying to stay within their budget.
The house is nicely located in London, quiet but still not far from buses/Underground (even the center is reachable by foot). The house is nice, typically english and there is everything you need inside.
+ Very calm area near the house
+ Very good grocerys near the house
+ All you need (everything for life) you will find in the house
+ About 20 min to most famous attractions (fast & comfort bus-routs to the center)
+ Very artistic & art house (literature, paintings etc.)
+ Really London-style house
- cool and even cold in the house (especially the draft in the bathroom) , but its winter features
- dirty (not fresh) bed linen - we dont find fresh one (only fresh towels)
- its little far to E&C undeground station
