We had a lovely stay with Eric and Vicky at Yolihuani. The location was wonderful, being only one block from the main square, and the posada resides behind a stone wall common of Patzcuaro that belies the beauty of the interior colonial architecture. It is a very peaceful location, with a large comfortable room.
Eric and Vicky were gracious and friendly hosts. Eric gave us many suggestions for things to do in and around town. We would gladly stay here again.
Great experience a beautiful and charming house and wonderful hostess, all the information provided by Vicky was great we enjoy a lot our stay we would stay at Yolihuani again our next time
Gracias Rodrigo, fue un placer recibirlos.
Fantastic place to stay. We met great people and the room was beautiful.
Beautiful gardens, spacious bedrooms with good linens and beds. Eric and Vicky are very helpful and know a lot about the area. With their insightful pointers you really don't need a tour guide if you're independent-minded and adventurous. Eric was even able to refer me to an amazing dentist - this is priceless info.
This place is a small haven of peace and harmony. It's located in a great part of town, easy walk to the jardin. From outside it looks simple and small, but once within the wall you'll find yourself in a beautiful large interior courtyard shaded by a big avocado tree. Vicky and Eric were wonderful host. It was fun talking to them in French as Eric is from Evian. We bumped into him in the street and a wonderful aroma of fresh ground coffee followed him which was to be brewed the following morning. The coffee did not disappoint. It was great, as was the breakfast. Vicki & Eric were kind enough to accommodate us and our 3 dogs. We highly recommend Yolihuani!
Great neighborhood a few blocks from the lovely main square. Nice quiet hotel with lovely rooms. Eric, the host, was very gracious and charming. No television, but good wifi Internet.
We loved staying at Yolihuani. It's a beautiful little haven - really peaceful, filled with lovely artefacts from around Mexico. Vicky and Eric were fantastic hosts as well, offering us lots of suggestions of places we could visit and restaurants in the town.
I highly recommend staying here.
Eric and Vicky were absolutely fantastic! They were gracious and welcoming upon our arrival, and their Harmony Refuge was just that......a tranquil and beautiful place to rest from a fun day of exploring Patzcuaro, Michoacan. They even invited us to join them for a private New Years party with local friends. It was an authentic way to see real Mexican culture in a super fun environment.
Oh, and I almost forgot, our travel plans changed at the very last minute and Vicky was able to assist........at 4am!! What Great Service!
Thank You Eric and Vicky. Can't wait to come back and visit some day soon!
Good location. Very clean and well taken care of. Good bed. Nice size bathroom, with plenty of hot water. (We stayed on the ground floor.) Vicky made us a super breakfast to order including; fresh fruit, pastries, and eggs to order. Vicky also eagerly helped us find a locksmith in town that was able to unlock our car after we locked the keys inside the car upon arrival. Also French songs playing on the CD player during breakfast, including "Walking the Road."
This was a true oasis in a lovely town full of things to see and do. The hosts speak a number of languages and can help out with small trips, taxis, advice on where to eat and what to see. Do not hesitate to stay here. We can't wait to go back and sit under the avocado tree and watch the hummingbirds fly here and there. A first class stay!
