The room is in a hostel with a perfect location: the muslin quarter in the city center. The neighborhood was an amazing place to wander and snack as you walk along. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the nice lobby of the hostel. The room is very basic, but not spotlessly clean.
Ryan is helpful. He helped do the scanning of my documents and send the scan copy to my email. He provided good travel information of Xian.
It's a great experience to live in here. Actually this place is a hostel named 秦城小巷 and it is a very foreigner friendly hostel comparing to others I have stay. The room is clean and cozy. The housekeeper service my room every day. I do recommand this place to all backpackers who visit Xi' an.
Thank you very much for hosting us! The airport transfer worked very well and also the people who working there are nice and helpful.
Unfortunately the room at the 6th floor wasn't that nice. The plaster fell off the wall, it was wet and mouldy :-(
Room was very clean, which is very good. The street where the hostel is located is not on the map. Therefore we had to ask help from the Information Center of Xi'an. The room was very basic: bedroom, some hangers and a desk. Wifi was good. The bathroom didn't have toilet paper (which is common in China regarding public places). Hair dryer was in the corridor, not in the room. There is a bar on the ground floor with cold beer. The host speaks basic English, we can understand what he wants to say. However, he doesn't understand everything that we want to say. There were two girls on the reception who didn't speak English at all. The (email hidden) spoke English ok with us. One thing that we didn't like was the fact that we had to sign a paper for checking-in and there was no English word on the form! So I don't really know what I signed.
A place to be if you want to catch a glimpse of Uigur culture. Hostel is in the midst of piebald bazaar at the Muslim quarter. It is hard to find the right building, almost impossible for foreigner. Beforehand you should spell address and name of hostel in Chinese. Cleanness is 3 of 5.
