The connection with the owner is great! The bungalow that we lived in was not like was on the picture, ( not pink but brown). There is two types of bungalow. One is with big windows from floor to the roof ( big bungalow) and the second one is small, just with small window( small bungalow). No sea view. Cottages are located in the palm forest. That the location Is best on the shore. ( there is no more palm forest at the shore at all). All Cottages are very nice and lovely,Near the cottages is home cafe, where we had a breakfast. 1 minute and you are on the beach.if you are not luxury type of person, but want to enjoy the atmosphere of GOA this is the best place to live in.
A lovely cottage, and beautiful gardens. Only downfall is the loud music occasionally from neighbouring resorts.
We stayed at Leela cottages over new year for 7 nights. We booked it on airbnb. There was very little information about this place and the area but the photos looked nicer on airbnb than on the website.
I asked for a special room which got confirmed by Prakesh by mail. He even called me in Paris to re-confirm which was really nice. But when we arrived we didn't get the room we asked for.
Anyway our cottage was nice and it was one of the newer cottages.
I didn't see the inside of the older cottages but they seemed just as nice from what I could see outside. A little closer to the beach but really not a big deal.
It's a small resort and its right on the beach.
Our cottage was big (around 36m2) and nicely decorated. There's aircon in the rooms and wifi (really slow connection but its free).
The breakfast is really good and all The staff is super nice and very helpful.
Vijay one of the owners from London helped us a lot telling us where to go and spend our day or night. A really nice guy.
The spa right next to our rooms was great as well and cheap. We had a Balinese couple massage and the place is beautiful decorated and very clean. just excellent!
The beach it is on called Ashvem is also perfect. It is min walk to the French restaurant La Plage which is run by 3 Frenchmen. The food is just delicious and really not expensive. Around 20€ for two with cocktails, starters and main course. And this is supposed to be expensive in Goa!
Only problems we had with our rooms was that there wasn't always hot water.
Also the big beach club right next to the rooms played loud music on some of the nights but they stop around 11pm so it doesn't ruin your sleep. Only on New Years evening they continued all night.
If you stay at Morjim or Ashvem beach (which I think are the bests in the North) it's easy to rent a scooter or motor bike or get a taxi to take you around to some of the other good beaches like Madrem & Arambol beach.
You can also go one day to the North and take the ferry from Querim and go to paradise beach where there is white sand and no tourists and pass by to see the amazing Fort T.
its 45min to get there by scooter and ferry (5min) from Ashvem. Soon the bridge will be done so even easier to get there.
I can recommend this place to anyone. It's very nice.
