I am a librarian at a community college in southern California. I've used airbnb for 4 different locations on a summer 2012 trip to Italy and in San Francisco. All great experiences!

elizabeth her dog and her friend were all lovely and understanding. The left the place beautiful. welcome back anytime
Elizabeth was a great guest! She stayed at our studio with her dog. They both were very sweet and we didn't have any issues with noise while she was here and had her family visiting too. She left our studio in good order and accordingly I would recommend her to any other airbnb host.
Elizabeth is like a "wonderwoman" , is great , is a force ....
Great communication with her before and during her stay. Person very kind and polite. The apartment was perfect at the end.
Elizabeth and her family are the perfect guests. I'm really happy to have hosted them.
Elizabeth is my wonderful mother. She is a very thoughtful traveler, and a kind host. We traveled to Italy together in the summer of 2012 and stayed in Airbnb apartments the whole time, meeting great people in Rome, Florence, and Venice. I would highly recommend her as a host if you are looking for a nice, warm place that is close to the beach in Santa Barbara, and as a traveler as well. She's also a great cook!
Elizabeth is a kind, thoughtful and considerate travel companion. We have traveled together domestically and internationally and she makes our vacations and trips super fun and easy. She is very organized and thorough, a good and detailed planner when it comes to itineraries and places to stay. We've had some really wonderful Airbnb experiences, particularly in Italy and San Francisco. Our Airbnb spot in Venice was a dream and we had a fantastic time imagining ourselves imbedded in the little community where we were staying, getting to know the neighbors coming into and out of the piazza, playing with the little kids running around, trying to chat with the pastry store owner, checking out the local fish stalls - it was an adventure I would recommend to anyone!
I recommend Elizabeth wholeheartedly - again, she is a thoughtful and considerate guest, will be appreciative of the details and aspects of a sweet Airbnb spot, and maybe even discover things about your own neighborhood that you never knew!
I first met Elizabeth while she was travelling in Italy and visited the town where I was living at the time. When my boyfriend and I were driving cross-country back in the US, we got in touch and she offered for us to stay with her in Santa Barbara for a night or two. Truly, she could not have been a better hostess. Parking was easily available, and her condo is maybe three minutes away from one of the most beautiful (and dog friendly) beaches in the area, and perhaps ten minutes from downtown SB. Elizabeth was quick to point out the "must-do's" in the area, and even helped us map out our drive for the next day with a stopping place at her favorite shore town up the coast.
In terms of the actual space, Elizabeth's condo is small but not so much so that we felt cramped as a couple staying there (with her as well). The kitchen was well-equipped, and she provided ample breakfast options in the morning. The main bedroom is probably the most biggest room, and more than adequate for two people and spread-out suitcases. The bathroom is neat and clean, as is the rest of the condo. There's also a great little patio just outside the front door that gets great sunlight in the morning -- perfect for drinking your coffee in the sun in the middle of Elizabeth's plants!
Molly the dog is also a full-time resident, and admittedly as someone with occasional dog allergies she set off my sneezing. Elizabeth was absolute helpful though and kept Molly out of our bedroom. If you have dog allergies, I would suggest letting her know this beforehand so that she can try to accomodate you as best as possible.
Enjoy Santa Barbara, and bring Elizabeth a bottle of wine or Campari when you visit!
