Sugi's place was lovely! The location was quiet, and it was a short walk away from the station. One stop away from Shibuya, and a couple more to Shinagawa, travellers will find the listing a perfect spot for seeing Tokyo and moving around. I'd definitely recommend anyone to stay with Sugi :)
Sugi was a really nice host. Really got back to me quickly. Nice little spot.
The appartment is close to a metro station (Ebisu station) and was very convenient. We had a second bed on the floor and everything was clean and comfortable. In winter you should bring warmer cloth for sleeping as it gets a little bit cold during the night. But Sugi provided warm blankets and there is also a heating in the appartment.
Thank you very much, Sugi!
The location is very convenient and the area is very quiet. Everything worked in the apartment and I have nothing to complain. Thanks Sugi!
Sugi's place can be best describe as a 'no frills' apartment. But what more can you ask when you're in the quiet area of meguro while in walking distance of the hustle Ebisu station. Not to mention there's also an efficient kitchen to boil water, heat some food and cool some beer! Although it took some time for me to find his place, Sugi has been very instructive with all things in the house, so it was a well kept place. I'll be surely stay here next time I'm in town.
Flat and location were as described. Nothing fancy but comfortable.
Though not easy to find at first, the place was convenient, not too far from Ebisu Station on the Yamanote Line (main line to easy access almost everywhere you'd wish to visit in Tokyo I find).
Basics we're provided. Portable wi-fi would have been a plus but with good maps in hand, the place was a good base for an awesome time in that amazing city.
Sugi's apartment was exactly as described: very easy to get to by foot from Ebisu station. The apartment is clean, utilitarian but has everything you need: comfortable bed, the kitchen is equipped for two, and the place is spacious for Japanese standards. I did not meet Sugi, but he has an ingenious system for getting the key to you.
The only thing I would like to see is a description inEnglish about using the heat pump ( I needed cooling one day, and heating the next, and it was tricky...) and also the TV.
The area is quiet as, so much so that I saw just three people around, haha. There are nice places to eat, drink and shop really close by as well. AndYManote line is super convenient for exploring Tokyo.
I recommend Sugi's place!
Our one week at Sugi's apartment was really nice. The apartment was as described and shown and we have missed nothing. We enjoyed the quite living area and loved to walk to Naka-meguro River. Sugi was a great and warm host and even our short-term extension for two more days was no problem. We can highly recommend Sugi's apartment to all travellers.
Decent apartment in Ebisu — a lovely part of Tokyo.
It's about a 5/10 minute walk to the station, which is then really easy to travel around the city. Shinjuku, Hiragana and Shibuya are only a few stops away on the Yanamote line. Roppongi is two stops down the Hibiya line.
Ebisu itself has lots of nice small restaurants and bars on the opposite side of the station. It's a really nice part of Tokyo to stay in.
This was a good place to stay. It was clean and all of the amenities worked as advertised. Sugi was also very helpful with getting me acquainted to the place and activating my phone.
One surprise was that there was construction happening during the weekdays I stayed there. It started late in the morning and wasn't too much of a bother but would have been nice to mention ahead of time. It was loud enough that you couldn't sleep through it.
