KORE 31 REVIEW: We stayed 2 nights @ Kore 31 located on East 31st btwn 3rd & Lexington. The location is unbeatable, the studio design is perfect, and the office made sure someone came right away to exchange our heater (it was not working when we arrived) and to provide more towels. NOTE: We arrived right at 3pm so the housekeeper could give us a key. It is ridiculous to haul to 84th for a key so I made sure to request this when I was making the reservation. Thanks to these reviews.
Cold: The water in the shower would not get hot, only lukewarm. And it being 20 degrees outside with only 2 space heaters in the place, it was uncomfortable. BUT the bathroom does have a ceiling heater. Just make sure to turn it on 30 minutes before jumping in.
Service: Housekeeping forgot to take out the trash so it was full during our 2 days. The man on the phone was a bit snippy at first -- make sure you are at 140 E 31st, not 138 like it says on your confirmation.
Pros: Location. Studio Design. Housekeeper was very nice helping us with our bags. Cable & TV was convenient on the cold days. Bed is comfy. Kitchen works.
The apartment was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The location near central park was fantastic. It was easy to contact the office via email and phone. Unfortunately, they had to move us to another apartment that was smaller as the apartment we had booked was damaged. This was a bit of a hassle. On the whole, it was a good experience.
We had booked Kore Family Exec Suite 73 for a 2 day stay in December. Several days before arrived I received a Email stating that Kore 73 had some water damage and that we were moved to Kore 92. I asked if there was anything closer to 73 or Downtown as I did not want to be as far North as 92nd Street. I also asked if Kore 92 was the same size as 73. I was told there was nothing available and that 92 was the same size and a beautiful apartment. At check-in I again asked if 92 was the same size and was told yes. Everyone at check-in was very nice and they held our bags until the unit was ready. When we arrived at the unit it was smaller than 73 (73 was a 3 bedroom and 92 a 2 bedroom) . I was going to have to sleep on living room sofa as we were now short 1 bedroom. The unit was large, modern, comfortable, and building had an elevator. Subway about 3 blocks away and quiet neighborhood. There were plenty of bed linens and towels. The unit was not as clean as I thought (food on countertops and stains on living room sofa and rug needs replacing) . The only main complaint I have is that the beds are very uncomfortable!! Other than that, It was a nice apartment and staff was very friendly. I did notice that the unit we stayed in was priced less than the one I booked. We were never offered a price adjustment or discount for the inconvenience of having to move uptown 20 blocks as well as loose a bedroom and space.
Great place!! We had a nice stay in the Lower East Side; The location was great, place was beautiful, and the price was unbelievable. My only complaints were the lack of an efficient heating system (the place was cold), and it was a bummer to find out we had to go all the way up to 83rd and 8th to pick up keys for a place on 6th Street between A and B.....
I stayed at the Studio Kore 83. This is at 155 w 83rd street. I had initially booked Junior Suite Kore 83, but they contacted me and said somebody had already booked a few hrs before I did, so extended me a smaller room for the same price(a discount would have been nice LOL).
When I arrived, I was told I needed to pay taxes for my room! I was shocked as nowhere in the reservation was this stated! As far as I was concerned the only extra charge was the 10% for airbnb. So be weary of that. However, when I mentioned that it was stated as all inclusive on the site, they kindly wavered off the extra charge.
The room we got was a forth floor walk up. The room was small but spotless! I was very impressed with how clean it was. We had a small tiny window, but a nice cute little kitchen as well. There was free wifi and cable included channels such as HBO etc. Plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets. They also have an ironing board and an iron under the bathroom sink. The bathtub did clog up on the last day but we were checking out so it wasn't a problem. The management seemed nice and helpful so I think it would have been dealt with if we had called. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet so we slept well.
It is near to 2 subway lines. One is on Central Park west and 81st street (museum of natural history) and the other on Broadway and 86th. I'd say about 5, 10 mins walk. There are convenience stores around the corner, and plenty of places to eat. Also near central park and some nice cafes (we came across one where they shot the movie "You've got mail" where MR and TH met.) A nice stroll to The Dakota on 72nd and Central Park West and Strawberry Fields.
We were allowed to leave our bags on the day we checked out till 11pm at night for no extra charge! (You are also allowed to leave your bags at the office on the day u check in should u come in early and the room is not yet available)
I would actually recommend them. Clean and safe place to sleep and shower (that's the only time we were in), close to the subways and nice management. Just make sure you get the room you book for and be aware of the extra charge for NY taxes! Good luck!
Hello all! I stayed at the Family Exec suite on West 73rd and it definitely felt like home! Although our stay was only a short 3 days, I will recommend any of the Kore Properties to everyone opposed to staying in a hotel. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I come to visit NYC =) The place was clean, had sufficient towels, pillows, extra sheets, an awesome kitchen! I was so glad I didn't have to wait for room service to bring me anything I needed because it was all accessible!
We stayed at Kore-6 in the East Village for 4 nights. Overall, we were quite happy with it. The location was great and the apartment was well kept and nice. We did have 1 problem - on our first night, Kore-6 was double-booked. Kore found 2 available apartments in different locations for us and refunded the cost of the first night along along with a small discount for the remainder of our stay. It was a hassle, but the Kore office was helpful and did what they could to ease the situation. Alena in the Kore office was very helpful. I recommend Kore Properties and would use them again.
Well the room is well furnished, clean and new it is well located, the night it is not noisy but you have to know that the building is not finished, that's very dirty and messy so old and people still working in so it is noisy! They also gave the keys of are room to someone else and people by mistake came in out room in the middle of the night in find it very unsafe! I think for the price it is good but they should say people about the building.
We stayed at Kore 83 on the upper Westside. The room was small but newly rehabed with wood floors, stainless refigerator and stove. The kitchenette has a toaster, coffee maker, microwave, iron & ironing board. The apt. was clean and neat. Towels and linens were provided. We were not warned that construction in the building was going on during the day right next to our door. The location was nice with countless restaurants within walking distance. The people in the office were all friendly. I would use Kore again.
Best place I ever stayed at while in Manhattan! Great location on E 31st in Murray Hill, conveniently located to public transportation, 2 major grocery stores right around the corner. There was construction going on between 8am and 6pm on workdays, but that didn't bother me too much since I was gone for most of the time. The reason I will give 5 stars out of 5 although the stove did not work because of electrical problems, the state of the art microwave did, however I had pots and pans but no suitable microwave dishes. It would have been nice to have a lamp on the nightstand and a small table next to the sofa to be used also as a dinner table. Since I was travelling alone again I was doing fine, I would book it again any time, also perfect when I'll bring a friend over to Manhattan next year. Since I'm a big NYC-fan, I have to admit that I was proud to have my own key to my own studio and did not have to go into a hotel lobby which would "outcast" me as a tourist, which I do not feel like anymore, because NYC is my home away from home! Thanks Kore properties, you really made me feel like I'm home again!
I was very impressed with Kore properties when I visited them in New York City. The locations are perfect for a trip to Manhattan. The company has been in the property business for many years, and is extremely professional. I would highly recommend them on our site.
