As an Edinburgh native, I will be on hand to offer any advice or recommendations to help you make the most of your stay in the city.
Cosy, clean and comfortable apartment, ideally located for everything Edinburgh has to offer.
I would definitely stay here again, cheers Chris!
Amazing location. Everything is in walking distance, which is the best part. A very well thought out floor plan, nicely decorated and quite a cozy flat.
I loved all the travel books and novels to browse! The apples and bananas were appreciated.
Lovely little touches throughout the entire flat.
Will absolutely stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chris's artistically decorated quiet little flat on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. We were warmly welcomed by a friend of Chris's as he was working and this made a great impression, the emphasis being on ensuring we had a great time - and we did, in spite of the weather - wet again I'm afraid!
There is a lovely main bedroom with adequate storage, a tiny but efficient bathroom, delightful living room with sofa bed, TV, dining table and a mountain of travel resources in a neatly organised desk. This leads to the kitchen with all that's needed to prepare simple meals. The whole is really quiet as it faces a courtyard rather than the busy Royal Mile itself. A few revellers can be heard occasionally and the normal sounds of life in nearby flats but otherwise, it's very peaceful.
What a great launch point for so many important Edinburgh sights!
We were not deterred by the weather but chose the National Gallery as our first stop on day 1 because of rain, saving the Castle for the next day when the weather was colder but drier. We ventured out to Rosslyn Chapel on our final day and were delighted. Not the Dan Brown connection but the sheer magnificence of Medieval stone carving !! Transport by the no 15 bus from Princes Street was easy and included a sense of more suburban Edinburgh along the route.
This is a beautiful, clean and well organised flat right in the centre of old Edinburgh. It felt like home even though pint sized!! Everything you need us there.
Thanks so much!
Had a fantastic stay at Chris' apartment on the Royal Mile! The apartment is ideally situated on the top of the Royal Mile, and we were able to walk to everything. Was wonderful to sit and have breakfast overlooking St. James Court in the mornings, and was quiet at night for sleeping. Chris was there to meet me when I arrived, and couldn't have been nicer! His recommendations for restaurants, coffee houses, and art museums were stellar, and were some of the highlights of our trip. I hope to visit Edinburgh again next year, and would definitely stay in this apt again!!! Thanks Chris!
This was a very thoughtfully organised apartment. The weather was freezing but the flat was always comfortable. The physical arrangements of the spaces were very good and met our practical needs well. Importantly, the small details were excellent. Good flexible ambient lighting. Two comfortable sofas to stretch out on after a lot of walking, and an attractive decor. The view on to a substantial garden was a bonus and in the summer it must be great to sit in. Buses got us into the centre quickly and we found a 'supercool' cafe for breakfast just by asking on the street (their words, and after going, mine too). Two really good cinemas in walking distance but no time to go. Recommended.
We had a great stay in Chris's flat, which is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from the Grass Market. The flat is very nicely finished, and has a nice spacious lounge, as well as a large garden!
This apartment is cosy, quiet and a fantastic location. I spent 3 weeks working in Edinburgh and I would definately stay here again. Even though Chris was away when I arrived - I was met by his friend who welcomed me in and showed me around. It is in walking distance to town, the grass market, the train station and the theatres. Just what I needed.
Centrally located with nice pubs near by. It was very clean and comfortable. Chris was very helpful before and during the rental. We will be back.
My fiancee and I had enjoyed a wonderful stay in Edinburgh. Perfectly located, overlooking a quiet courtyard, stylishly decorated and presented.Chris met us outside the apartment, and could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommended.
Loved it! My sister and I stayed for 5 days and the location could not have been better. So close to everything within Edinburgh. It was a perfect size for us. I have nothing but nice things to say. Would recommend this place to anyone!! Thanks Again
